Football Equipment

Hello. I am new in the thread. In fact I am also new in football. I have a football team in the Middle East of Malaysians and we are playing against the US team in two weeks time. We have been practising for a while and I need some guidance on football equipment. We'll be playing on grass football field.

Which boot is better; Adidas or Nike or Puma? I have my eye on an Adidas Predator, but I am unsure.

Secondly, which ball is better Nike or Adidas? I noticed that most European leagues are using Nike, but the World Cup will be turning to Adidas. Heard lots about Nike balls as being better.

Hope u guys can help.

what/where exactly is Middle East of Malaysians?

Boots: Adidas Copa Mundial was my 1st boot ever and by far remain the best n very suitable for our grass field... but that was ages ago lahh... I bought Nike tiempo-Pro because Maldini wears Nike.. :2lol:...

ADidas Predator should be nice... perhaps which brand does not really matter as long as you feel comfortable wearing them... and dont forget to choose the right studs/blades..

Ball: personally i prefer Adidas... maybe u should get the new Adidas WC06 ball :cak:

Ok. Eguipment. Anything is good as long as comfy. Dont have to go big for brand. The point is having two sets of boot. For wet and dry condition.
For ball, Adidas have nice array of them such as Roteiro, or Finale, or Pelias. Adidas Teamgeist WC06 is the best ball you can have right now. But i personally prefer Nike T90 Hi-Vis ball. It has a high visibility and low drag.

Hey, thanks fort he pointers.

I am in the land where Saddam decided to invade.

As for boots, Adidas boots seem to have blades rather than studs. Nike boots are still the ones with studs. The fields here are grass, but with very hard soil.

I got myself a silver Adidas Predator with a dragon decoration on the sides. Pretty nice and give good ball control.

As for footballs, some say none stitch balls are better. A lot of the pple here prefer Nike balls. Could be because of EPL influence here. Most of the stores here sell Nike balls. Well, I'll see if Adidas balls are around.

If the pitch was hard, blade seem to do better. If it was grassy, stud is the best.
None stich ball they say better because doesn't easily trap dirt on it. So it won't be unbalance easily. But, they tend to peel of if play in mean time. If i have extra cash, I wouldgo for Adidas Teamgiest ball. Look nice, good control. You can even sleep with it. Haha.

Just a comparison, whats the price like of a Nike tempo ball in Msia? Over here its about KD5 or RM65.

I am also looking at shin guards. Which one is better, a silhouette lite or a hybrid shin guard and ankle guard. The Silhouette is really tough protection. Thinking of protection as we'll also be playing against Africans later.

Make sure to sleep with it. Since the pirce here is about 300 Malaysia ringgit. Even Roteiro don't cost that much.

I dont know which Teamgiest ball that costs that much, but the one I bought costs just RM75. Its match ball replica.

The real one I suppose is much more expensive. Different material and more endurance.
