I sent both kids to Alice. So far puashati but that doesn't mean sekolah lain kat Malaysia tak bagus, it's just my choice.

Yg i tau lah, kalau orang tu hantar anak dia ke Private school meaning dia tak kisah pasal monetary's problem. So why must worry pasal biasiswa. If we have the money and the child pulak minat, why not pakai duit sendiri aje kalau memang mampu, and bg biasiswa tu pada org yg betul betul tak mampu. Org Melayu kena start fikir to kerja kuat utk anak anak demi education, sampai bila nak bergantung pada government for the biasiswa. Anyway, i don't think sekolah government is just a hatching place for biasiswa reason. Sekolah kerajaan memang bagus, cuma kadang ada parents yg nak sikit kelainan.Perhaps i jugak akan tukar my kids masuk sekolah government when they reach their sekolah menengah to blend their exposure. I always believe one thing, if they are good, they will be good everywhere. It's not the school, but the enthusiasm & the moral support from parents that matters.

btol tu el...it's a bout choice kalo mampu:loveliness:

me tak risau sgt pasal akedemik tapi exposure pd anak2 ...

boleh kongsi tak el....apa kelainan kat sekolah Alice berbanding sekolah public...

Elmina Publish time 1-8-2007 06:46 PM

Well I don't know about sekolah lain sebab i just tau sekolah my kids. Anyway kelainan yg i rasa paling utama is cabaran anak anak kat sekolah situ. Mcm mcm bangsa ada, so my kids mmg kena bersaing dgn mcm mcm org dari awal usia. Mcm i at least i bersaing at the age of 18 when i was in the UK, sebab i sekolah gomen purely sejak kecik until dpt biasiswa JPA. I want my kids to climb the stairs of challenge and to stand tall dgn bangsa bangsa yg ada kat sekolah dia with pride.and satu lagi, i nak diri i sendiri faham that education is an assetand that i must ready to spend utk my kids. I tak boleh nak allow my kids to bergantung dgn the privilleges set by the government sebab lepas ni i tak tau mana my hubby nak bawak kitorang. May be we have to be outside malaysia sampai dia besar. So it's just a matter of to give more exposure dgn aktiviti yg mcm mcm kat sekolah tu and everything is there. so i tak payah buang masa diorang hoping from one place to another sbb masalah nak belajar satu satu aktiviti. Kat sini ada music, ada swimming, ada horse back riding mcm mcm, kira mcm one stop centre.

Monetary is one of my fren reason..yerlah kan maybe masa dulu dia mampu nak hantar ke 3 anak dia ke international school..now dia rasa dah tak mampu & maybe dia nak accomodate anak2 yg lain jugak..she also mentioned bout difficulty to find place for her kids in local U..maybe she wants her kids to be able to have a choice of going to local U..

Btw 2 of her kids is still in International School.

yup, my hubby pun was from an international school. it was a boarding school. mmg byk activities dia......

and because ada 'O' and 'A' levels so its direct streaming to UK uni's which is good.

Delifrance Publish time 1-8-2007 10:06 PM

If u do decide to hantar anak2 ke international school, u must be prepared with the fact that they most probably would not be accepted into local overnment universities (unis ni might change their policies di masa akan datang..tak tahu lah kan)... so kalau dah start hantar private schools dr muda, kalau tak boleh self sponsor anak2 ke overseas, can still opt for cheaper options - contoh to do medic boleh opt for twinning programme dekat IMU or indonesia.. for other courses kene bersedia utk masukkan kgat private colleges macam inti, sunway or taylors or help. i am not sure univ like MMU, KLU semua tu terima O level or Aussie's high school as their requirement.

what about kolej yayasan saad? Would the students there have problems getting in local Uni?

Delifrance Publish time 1-8-2007 10:17 PM

kolej yayasan saad - i have seen a few students from this school dpt scholarship utk buat medicine...

begitu juga student from Al Amin (one of the islamic integrated schools that we have n KL).. i guess kalau ambik subject2 SPM sume cukup takde masalah nak apply for scholarship.

another example, this one boy dr kecik bua tahfiz..then ayah dia hantar pegi belajar agama dekat international school di south africa.... after dah abis sume2 tu dgn results pon flying colors.tahfiz pon tahfiz, he came back then amik SPM secara persendirian belajar sendiri (mase amik spm ni umur leb ih dr 17)... passed with flying colors jugak...

dia pi interview utk utk masuk UTP amik engineering..but the interviewers were so impressed with his effort nak belajar ilmu agama dulu lepas tu belajar pulak jadi engineer, and they way he answered all the questions was so impressive.., they sent him to uk straight...
