tableh sebab kita ada requirement yang unik dan berbeza.

daripada isu logistik dan latihan mungkin praktikal tapi dari segi pengoperasian dan stategik, mungkin berbeza.

me don't agree.

me thinks the MiG 35 is a very different beast altogether thus requires different set of equipment to maintain and operate.

satrianeo Publish time 20-2-2008 03:12 PM

Saya pilih mig 35....

Sejarah penggunaan MIG 29 yang panjang dan bakal panjang memberi huge advantage utk pengendali Mig 35

Bukan taknak berubah tapi utk bring on gripen or JC 10 maksudnya kita kena learn tech from sweden n china.(dalam kontek teknologi pesawat pejuanglah)

Air force kita masih skala sederhana (aku rasalah)..so biarlah kita master dan improvise current tech yang ada (russian) dulu.

Algerian airforce pilots did test fly mig35 ni...depa kata tak sebaguih f16block52...aden pulak suka Gripen...sukaaa sangat;P ;P

Gripen jet fighter sale to Thailand gets the OK(2 February 2008)

Thailand抯 decision to buy six JAS-39 Gripen jet fighters from the Swedish company brought sighs of welcome to political and business leaders in Sweden, and boosted the company抯 international presence in a fiercely-competitive business.
Swedish Defence Minister Sten Tolgfors made the announcement to the government抯 cabinet, formally approving the deal in which the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) should sign a deal with the Thai Air force regarding the sale of the planes and a radar surveillance system.

The agreement covers the six Gripen aircraft, the Erieye radar surveillance system and the accompanying data-link systems. The deal was worth some 3.8 billion Swedish crowns (USD 593 million), a Swedish Defence Ministry statement said, adding that deliveries were due in 2011.

Approval was also necessary from the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) that controls the export of military equipment and products that may have both a civilian and a military use.

In a statement, Tolgors said the news was heartening and would benefit Sweden and its taxpayers. Thailand is to replace its present air surveillance system when parts of the country抯 current air fleet are phased out in 2011, whose role is to monitor Thailand抯 airspace and conduct incident preparedness.
Before the agreement enter into force, it must be approved by the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products, which reviews all weapons exports from Sweden, the statement added.

When Thailand placed the order in October, it generated criticism from, among others, Amnesty International, the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society and opposition Green Party members of parliament that cited that Thailand was then under military rule. Foreign Minister Carl Bildt at the time rejected calls for canceling the deal.

The JAS-39 Gripen jet fighter has been deployed by the air forces of South Africa, Hungary and the Czech Republic, and is used for training by Britain. JAS Gripen is also vying to supply jets to the Danish and Norwegian air forces.

For the long-term future, Saab is reported to be looking at a new engine − such as the General Electric F414 or a thrust-vectoring version of the Eurofighter Typhoon EJ200 engine − and conformal fuel tanks or a fuselage stretch for greater range.
