nilam_puri82 Publish time 16-1-2009 06:11 AM

iqbal masa 4++ bulan dah campur nestum dalam susu.
umur 5++ bulan dah bagi nestum cair.
umur 7 bulan bagi bubur nasi.
skrg dah 1thn...dah makan ns lembik.:loveliness:

bayi yg sistemnyer xboleh terima makanan pejal sbb usus xmatang. menyebabkan asik2 muntah....:L

ummi_ina Publish time 16-1-2009 09:06 AM

my first 3 children mmg mula makan wktu umo 4 bulan
sbb time tuh paed syorkan mcm tu

then new research showed that it's better to start introducing solid food dari 6 bulan ke atas
so, my 4th child mula makan dari umo 6 bulan

salah satu reason knp tak digalakkan mula intro awal:
-Feeding solid foods to infants before 6 months of age can increase the risk of allergies

**tak tahulah ada related ke tidak but all my 3 kids yg diberi makan seawal 4 bulan semuanya develop asthma
1st one first time admitted to hosp wktu umo 7 bulan due to acute bronchiolitis

2nd one first time admitted to hosp wktu umo 9 bulan due to asthma

3rd one lom penah kene admit tapi mmg dah ulang-alik ke klinik amik nebulizer due to asthma waktu umo belum cecah setahun

4th one, alhamdulillah smp sekarang belum menunjukkan simptom2 di atas..mungkin jugak sbb dia fully breastfed sedangkan ketiga abang kakak dia tidak.

wallahua'lam

family history one thing
but dulu wktu kene admit
my paed sendiri cakap
skrg ni dah tak semestinya ada family history
sbb anak paed tuh sendiri kene asthma
and no one in her/her husband's family ada sejarah asthma

btw..i'm still observing my 4th child
to see if she will get asthma or not
(which i pray that she won't..aminnnn)

afiqah start makan masa 5.5mth..tp before dia 4mth, mil ada bg dia air kanji...dia sembelit teruk sama tue....g klinik doktor marah cz dia kata takleh bg baby other thing except milk at least 4mth..the best is to wait until 6mth...betul mcm ummi ina ckp tue utk prevent allergies..mende ni dah terbukti dr kajian thats why diorg advise camtue...first 6mth exclusive bf is the best...

kena tgk la tanda2 baby tu dah ready belom nak makan..e.g - berat dah double, dah bleh duduk..

Description
Feeding solid foods to infants before 6 months of age can increase the risk of allergies, while exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months may prevent the onset of allergic symptoms later in life according to a consensus report by allergists-immunologists.

Newswise ?Feeding solid foods to infants before 6 months of age can increase the risk of allergies, while exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months may prevent the onset of allergic symptoms later in life, according to a paper published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. The paper is the first consensus document published in a peer-reviewed journal to recommend allergy-avoiding strategies for introducing solid foods to the infant diet.

揟his report reinforces the consensus of organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization, which recommend exclusive breastfeeding for at least six months as optimal for infant and maternal health,?said lead author Alessandro Fiocchi, M.D., University of Milan Medical School, Milan, Italy. Dr. Fiocchi is chair of the Adverse Reactions to Foods Committee of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), which prepared the consensus document.

Specific recommendations of the committee include:

?Exclusive breastfeeding (with no cow抯 milk formulas or any supplemental food) is indicated during the first six months of life because it has a preventive effect against the onset of allergic symptoms that extends far beyond the period of breastfeeding.

?Supplemental foods should not be introduced during the first four months of life, as it is associated with a higher risk of allergic diseases up to the age of 10 years.

?The avoidance of cow抯 milk in the early months of life has been shown to be an effective means of preventing allergies. 揥e concluded that delayed exposure to solid foods should be similarly useful in preventing food allergies,?said co-author Amal Assa抋d, M.D., Cincinnati Children抯 Hospital Medical Center, Ohio.

?The main foods that pose a high allergy risk include cow抯 milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (such as hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, chestnuts, macadamias and pistachios), fish and other seafood. 揙ther foods ?even staples such as fruits, vegetables, meats, soy and cereals ?also have the potential to cause allergies if introduced too early,?said co-author Sami L. Bahna, M.D., Dr.Ph., Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Shreveport. The authors noted that it seems 搑easonable that foods should be introduced selectively, individually and gradually?to lessen the risk of allergy.

?Mixed foods containing a variety of potential food allergens should not be given to infants until tolerance to every ingredient has been evaluated individually.

?Cooked, homogenized foods are preferred to their fresh counterparts when a reduced potential for causing allergies has been clinically demonstrated, such as in the cases of beef, vegetables and fruit.

揟he timing after age 6 months at which specific foods should be introduced depends on a number of factors, including the individual infant抯 nutritional needs and risk for allergies,?Dr. Fiocchi said. It is generally considered prudent not to introduce hen抯 eggs, fish, peanuts and nuts before the age of 12 months, or later in infants at high risk of allergy, the authors said.

The committee reached its consensus based on an evidence-based review of published research related to food allergies in infants.

The Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology is the official journal of ACAAI, a professional medical organization headquartered in Arlington Heights, Ill., that promotes excellence in the practice of the subspecialty of allergy and immunology. The College, comprising more than 5,000 allergists-immunologists and related health care professionals, fosters a culture of collaboration and congeniality in which its members work together and with others toward the common goals of patient care, education, advocacy and research.

i bace.. kenkadang para ibu silap bace gerak geribaby... nampak je cam teringin nak makan makanan kita, kecap kecap bibir... tapi mungkin tak...
kenkadang curiosity, kenkadang gatal gigi....
my baby dulu gatal gigi... 4 bulan dah ade gigi...

skang ni 7 bulan.. dah start bagi makan...finger food sebab I buat BLW "BabyLed weaning".. (skip fasa bagi bubur)
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/startingsolids/babyledweaning/

tapi kalau tanak sepah, kenkadang suap gak bubur.... tu pun die tanak makan banyak..
die prefer susu.... so I dont force food... coz baby boleh minum susu je for first year of life...

skang ni dah 8 gigi... aku bagi die yg bitting biscuit yg keras tu, bagi die ilang gatal gigi....
best die gigit... bila bagi food, makan sket.. pastu tanak dah...
so I found out its not coz lapar la (muka die masa 4-5 bulan muka kesian konon2 macam nak makan tu)

tapi stick to 6 months la... sabar for a few months and BF, boleh bagi effect yg last a lifetime.... just fikir camtu...
cakap kat baby, its for your own good :)...

6 months tu pon dah patutnye paling awal.... trend plak org skang delay solid...7-8 bulan baru start...
http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/delay-solids.html
so itu yang I tak risau pun yg skang ni die makan sket sket je.... badan dah sehat debab on BF...

there's a study by a uni kat US yg mengatakan kalo baby intro solid terlalu awal nt besar senang kene kencing manis.

maybe sebab tu ramai orang2 tua skg kene kencing manis, sebab makan awal sgt? ye la dulu2 kan budak umur 2 hari dah kasik makan.
