Woman who shot ‘floating mat’ pic soughtKUALATERENGGANU: A woman from Negri Sembilan who photographed a “floatingmat” at a mosque here is being sought by the state religious departmentto provide more information on the unusual occurrence.
Statereligious and information deputy committee chairman Muhammad Ramli Nuhsaid the department was also keen to contact others who had witnessedthe incident. “This is an interesting development and we want to getmore facts and evidence from eye-witnesses,” he said yesterday.
Hesaid the woman, who happened to visit Crystal Mosque, could providecrucial information as she was the first to capture the phenomenon.
“We want to authenticate whether she took the photograph or obtained it from a third party.”
MuhammadRamli said the unexplained event could be a divine sign, thus moredetails were required to enable the state religious department to dothe necessary.
“If it actually happened, it could bring about apositive development for Crystal Mosque. Visitors would start making abeeline to the site if the facts and the photograph could beauthenticated by a religious body,” he said.
On Tuesday, The Starreported about the appearance of a “floating mat” which prompted theTerengganu chief imam Ustaz Azizi Saidi Abdul Aziz to say that it was asign for Muslims not to neglect their prayers. Apparently, suchhappenings had been seen in Saudi Arabia.

KUALATERENGGANU: The Terengganu chief imam has attributed the unusualoccurrences at the Crystal Mosque here as a sign of the peopledistancing themselves from the religion.
Ustaz Azizi Saidi AbdulAziz described claims that a visitor had seen and photographed prayermats floating in the mosque as “hardly phenomenal” and people shouldstop thinking that it was due to genies or ghosts.
Mystifying:This ‘floating mat’ phenomenon occurred at the Crystal Mosque in KualaTerengganu. The imam says such occurrences have been reported in SaudiArabia.
“Such mystifying occurrences have been reported in Saudi Arabia,” he said yesterday.
Awoman from Negri Sembilan who visited the mosque had photographed thephenomenon with a mobile phone camera early this month, triggering fearamong locals.
Azizi Saidi said the phenomenon could be linked tothe lackadaisical attitude of Muslims in the state in performingcongregational prayers.
“There is nothing to panic. This is a call to Muslims not to overlook their obligation towards performing prayers together.
“There are umpteen mosques in Terengganu but there is a lack of mosque-goers.
“Some of our mosques lack people even during Friday prayers,” he added.
He said the occurrence was not “bizarre” but should be seen as a miracle that could be considered a sign from the Al-Mighty.

yg dlm artikel ni gmbr hiasan je aah la mak aku pun terel buat tu...
