Ditanya ke mana biasanya mangsa membelanjakan duit yang dipinjam, Chong memberitahu, kebanyakan mangsa terlibat dengan pertaruhan judi haram terutamanya bola sepak.
It pisses me off that there are some people willing to risk their lives by simply betting on a soccer. Its their stupidity that got the better of them.
And people thought WWE was being a bad influence! |

Suami isteri terkejut along tuntut wang
揃agaimanapun, selepas suami saya Hee Fatt memberitahu mereka bukan ahli keluarga Yau dan tidak tahu menahu pinjaman berkenaan, lelaki terbabit meminta maaf lalu beredar, |

Sampai jer rumah sewa aku, penuh je mailbox aku ngan sampah2 iklan PINJAMAN WANG SEGERA. Bleh dikatakan setiap hari, esok pagi bila aku nak pi kerja. Kat kete aku pun dier bleh selitkan iklan2 PINJAM DUIT kat wiper kete aku . Mentang2 tu rumah flet, diorg ingat kitorg ni pokai sgt ke sampai nak pinjam duit ALONG.
Kalau dah tabur Iklan berpusu2 bagi kat orang. Sapa ler yg tak terjerat nanti? |

t dear, its pure commercial transaction. though i empathise with those that had to borrow for valid reasons (hospitalisation, business etc) most who borrow are the problematic ones (gambling, gundek, drugs).
which helps to explain why high rates were charged in the first place; its all abt risk/return tradeoff. the higher the risk assumed, the higher risk premium is.
going back to my claims in first para, why must they resort to ah long when (if all else fails) there are still regulated chettiars? simply because the would be borrowers would fail the filtration process of the chettiars let alone the commercial banks.
and yes, i do pity the innocent children. |

hmm..makes sense.
then we have to go to the root of the problems. rather than targeting the ah long. perhaps educating the rakyat. I dont know how lah. we cant even make them flush the public toilet, then how to educate them about bigger issues.
can I safely say that this is mostly problems of the chinese and indians (not racist but malays perhaps are not into gambling and the sorts much?) |
