Rebut gelaran Kondom ‘paling nipis’

Gunagzhou (China): Pembuat kondom di Guangzhou memfailkan saman ke atas syarikat yang mengeluarkan produk yang sama di Jepun berhubung isu ‘rekod dunia paling nipis.’
South China Morning Post melaporkan Guangzhou Daming United Rubber Products menyaman Okamoto Industries di Mahkamah Daerah Guangzhou Khamis lalu kerana menggunakan perkataan ‘rekod dunia paling nipis’ pada bungkusan produknya.
Ini berikutan Daming diiktiraf pemegang Rekod Dunia Guinness pada 2013 selepas kondom keluarannya disahkan mempunyai ketebalan purata 0.036 milimiter (mm). Okamoto sebelum ini dianugerahkan rekod sama pada 2012 dengan ketebalan purata 0.038mm.
Daming meminta mahkamah mengeluarkan arahan memaksa Okamoto membuang perkataan itu daripada bungkusan dan iklan, selain perlu membayar pampasan satu yuan.
Okamoto bagaimanapun, menegaskan tidak akan menuruti permintaan itu dengan mengemukakan laporan ujian pihak ketiga yang didakwa membuktikan produk dikeluarkan Daming bukanlah lebih nipis daripada 0.036mm. - Agensi

Scientists from the University of Wollongong are designing ultra-durable condoms they claim could feel even better than nothing at all.
The contraceptive is made with hydrogel, a strong and flexible solid which can be made to feel and act like human tissue.
The groundbreaking design will eventually offer functions like self-lubrication, topical drug delivery, and even electric conductivity, dramatically changing the capacity of male contraception, reports Science Alert.
