Malaysian k-pop fans have been really blessed recently as there have been various Korean artistes visiting our shores. However, most of them are boy bands such as Super Junior, Beast, U-kiss… to name a few.
So here’s some good news for those who want to see a sexy all-girl k-pop act. There are talks that new girl group RaNia (라니아) will be in Malaysia for a mini concert on 22 July 2011.
RaNia is a seven member girl group, created by DR Music Korea’s President Yoon Deung Ryong. This is the same man who put together BabyVOX. Members of RaNia trained for 4-years before finally debuting on 6th April 2011. Members Semi, Riko, Jooyi, Di, Joy, T-ae and Xia are said to be fluent in Korean, English, Chinese, Thai and Japanese. Joy is from Thailand while Riko is Korean but grew up and was educated in Japan
The group also gained much attention because their debut album RANIA was co-produced by famous song writer and producer Teddy Riley. Riley has also produced for Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga.
RaNia’s debut single “Dr Feel Good” is punchy and addictive and made it on the top 10 Korean Music Chart.
