Jakarta: Seorang kanak-kanak berusia 10 tahun dipercayai menjadi kanak-kanak paling gemuk di dunia apabila berat badannya mencecah 192 kilogram.

Arya Permana yang berasal dari kampung Cipurwasari di Jawa Barat kini terpaksa berhenti sekolah kerana tidak mampu berjalan-jalan dan sering kepenatan.

Berat badan Arya yang berlebihan itu juga menyebabkan ibu bapanya bimbang dengan kesihatan anak mereka yang boleh menyebabkan maut.

Ibunya, Rokayah berkata, Arya sentiasa lapar dan makan lima kali sehari dengan jumlah yang banyak, hampir dua kali ganda berbanding lelaki dewasa.

Katanya, anak kedua daripada dua beradik itu sering mengadu kepenatan dan sesak nafas.
