MBC's Wolf Postponed to May
In the last Korean Weekly News we discussed a little about MBC's possible solutions to the 늑대 (Wolf) problem. But they were much quicker than anyone could possibly expect, and took an important decision today. As you may know, two of the Drama's leads, Moon Jung-Hyuk and Han Ji-Min, suffered serious injuries while filming the show's 3rd Episode on January 22. The two were immediately hospitalized, and are still receiving treatment for their injuries (Han's are mostly shock-related, Moon injured his back and right ankle). MBC aired a hastily wrapped up 3rd Episode, and kept delaying the airing of the 4th and following episodes. But they'd eventually have to make a decision, since Moon couldn't realistically come back to the shoot any time soon, and acting is the last thing you should do when you hit your head on the concrete.
Well, the decision has been made: 'Wolf' has been postponed to May. From February 6, MBC will air the 8 Episode show 내 인생의 스페셜 (My Life's Special), which has been in the can for quite some time. MBC decided this morning to postpone the show, as Moon's health wasn't good enough to return to shooting, and they couldn't continue delaying the airing of the show, replaced by One-Episode specials, documentary and movies. This doesn't change in any way 공주님 (Princess)'s -- the follow up drama starring Kim Rae-Won and Jung Ryeo-Won -- schedule, which will still air in March, and start shooting in a few days. 'Wolf' now moves to May, the slot which was supposed to be occupied by the Historical Drama 주몽 (Jumong), which will now have more time to shoot. Moon apologized to the fans, producers and fellow actors from his hospital bed, promising he'll do his best to come back soon.
'My Life's Special' stars Kim Seung-Woo and Myung Se-Bin, and was produced by Kim Jong-Hak Production, J&H Film and Media Family. It shot from July to September last year as a 12 Episodes Drama. The show also stars Shin Sung-Woo, Sung Ji-Roo, Choi Jong-Won and Kim Roi-Ha, all capable actors, so it should be pretty decent. Even though 'My Life's Special' will have to undergo editing to shorten its 12 Episodes down to 8 (although the station is considering two additional episodes), this is the best possible decision MBC could make. 'Wolf' had pretty average ratings, but now the buzz regarding the two actors' accident might reignite interest when they start again this Spring, well rested and fully recovered.

baca aje berita ni dan tgk perkembangan drama Wolf dlm soompi..bel betul2 jadi sedih bukan saja drama ni tertunda tapi amat sedih gan keadaan Eric gan HJM...apatah gi ada ura2 diorg nak gantikan Eric dan mungkin gak HJM since mereka dikatakan masih lagi dlm keadaan serius dan masih ditahan di hospital gak...dan rasanya berita ni pasti benar sbb Eric sepatutnya akan msk army service lepas berlakon citer ni...:cry:

While it is informed Eric who got injured at shooting "wolf" is required to take a total of 8 weeks of medical treatment in bed of hospital longer than originally expected, the producer of "wolf" firmly confirmed their will to restart filming won't be changed. The producer, Green Snake Media said on Feb.6th "Even if Eric's condition is said to be more serious than expected, we will adhere to our rules to restart shooting only after they are completely restored to health."
The concerned person went on "of course, we have to have more discussion on this matter but we will comply with MBC's policy to reschedule "Wolf" on air. So, we are planning to restart shooting for "Wolf" although we are not sure exactly when it will be on air."
Hence, broadcasting of "Wolf" is expected to be made after May at the earliest case.

The drama "Wolf", which has been interrupted, will be broadcasted in the timeslot of weekend drama.
최창욱, Chief Producer of MBC Drama station disclosed on 13th, that they are planning to on-air "Wolf" in July and August following "불꽃놀이(Fireworks)" which is the next drama to "신돈". The drama will resume onair after all filming is completed."
However, as Eric is still under treatment, the timing they resume filming has not been confirmed yet. Staff of Eric's side mentioned that he needs additional 8-week treatment for aftereffects of a slipped herniated disk.

Shooting for drama"Wolf" is expected to commence on 10th March 2006
MBC drama "Wolf" interrupted its broadcasting by the traffic accident of Eric and Han Ji Min occurred during shooting is likely to restart shooting from the 10th of March.
Yesterday "Wolf" production team announced another leading actor,Uhm Tae Woong and Han Ji Min who is being fast in recovery will start to work for the shooting from Mar.10 and Eric is liable to join around mid of March. As "Wolf" has suffered a lot from the accident of leading actor/actress, the shooting will be made after the script is revised in a way of drastic reduction of action part and reinforcement of melo among leading roles comparing with the existing one.
"Wolf" rescheduled as a weekend drama will come back to TV screen about 10 PM in July.

Eric Expresses Feelings after Discharge from Hospital

Eric, a member of the boy group Shinhwa and an actor, has talked about his
thoughts for the first time since being discharged from a hospital where he had
been recovering from injuries sustained during the shooting of the drama 'Wolf' in
January.
Kim Dong-wan, Eric wrote, "If you stay at a hospital for a month with nothing to
do, like an 'old boy,' then you will realize how happy you are to have work to do,
even work you once thought tiring. I suggest we work even when we get old."
He also wrote that he had been impressed by the words 'We see as much as we
know' which he encountered while visiting the website of a dance team he worked
with. "I think that we really do not see more than we know, whether it is
regarding dance or a person. I want to get to know everything about things I love
to do, even if few people recognize it. I feel happy that there are still many things
that I have to learn and do," he said.
Eric's agency Good EMG said that Eric will resume the shooting of the drama as
soon as he fully recovers, and participate in the recording of Shinwha's eighth
album.
