PART TWO:
THE JOURNEY

On the night of my departure, I was at my brothers house and we did special prayers. As we left the front door, my brother azanned for a blessed journey. Everything was so wondrous. When I arrived at the Tabung Haji Terminal, I was informed of news that a very good friend of mine fell really sick and was laying in the hospital in Kota Bharu. I called his handphone but his son picked up and said that his father had just gotten to sleep. There were many passengers and we were the last few outside. I hurried my brother and said that we should go in early so that we get the best seat on the plane. He chided me and said that I should never pray for any special seating. It was late and we were among the last to enter. As soon as we entered, and went through the procedures and immigration, we were given briefings and last minute hints. I was still learning. I didn't even memorise the things that I should be memorising.

My salutations and congratulations to Lembaga Tabung Haji for organising a wonderful and smooth transition. Since we were the last to enter the terminal, naturally we sat right at the back of the Briefing Hall. Then we queued for the bus. And when I boarded the last bus that was to take us to the KLIA, that was when I was so overwhelmed with how special this journey is. Each bus was given outriders, and we felt really special. God's invitee. We were treated like real VVIP's. Our passage to God was most significant. I kept singing in my heart, Labaikallah hu mallabaik. Everyone and all motorists made way for us. And it was like I was waving to all the other vehicles that gave the bus way as I could sense some motorist waving back at me and wishing me "Have a safe journey" instead of what you would sometimes feel if some obnoxious ruler was making traffic stop so that they could pass. Alhamdullillah.

Upon our arrival at the KLIA, again, all the staff of the Tabung Haji gave each and every one of us their smiles and wishes. There were probably hundreds that night but the staff wished us farewell individually. I could have kissed and hugged them. Bidding farewell to complete strangers. This I felt was uniting us and promoting Muslim brotherhood.

Since the three of us were the last to enter, naturally in a queuing system, we would be the last to board everything. But it worked out very well. Since we were the last ones, we boarded the plane last. And to my surprise and delight, the "boarding the plane" system was such that if you enter the plane first, you would have to go right at the end of the plane..... And when A, E and I entered the plane the only seat available was the one right at the front door at the front row. That meant we had the whole leg space (and A is 5 ft 11, so again, we felt blessed). We need not fold our legs. Thank goodness, Syukur, the journey would be so very very comfortable, Alhamdullillah. The crew came and sat opposite us. I immediately made my move like what I normally do on long haul journeys.... E kept reminding me that we were going to seek God, and I shouldn't be making a pass at men anymore. Of course, that didn't stop my chatty self. And so, when everyone else got their meals, I was offered and given two meals.... I was given special toiletries etc etc.

Anyway, when we arrived in Jeddah the next morning, we waited for our luggage and we were given packed food while waiting for the bus. I can assure everyone that there was plenty of food. We could never go hungry. The Saudi government made plenty sure of that. They treated Malaysians very well. When the bus finally arrived, We boarded. Our journey continues.

IN MECCA

Upon arrival at Mecca, there was a jam, and we were wondering what sort of hotel we would be given, and whether it would be a long walk to the Masjidil Haram. Of course, A reminded me to always bersyukur or be grateful and not expect to be treated like lords.

To our utmost surprise, (again!) our Hotel was right at the footsteps of the mosque, Dar Marzuki. And the surprise didn't stop there. When we registered at the counter, the Ustaz Ghani welcomed us, distributed our lunch packs and welcome gifts of kurma and sweets and said that he was my late father's friend and that he had very high regard for my dad. He showed us to our room, We had paid for 3 in a room. But again surprise, when he escorted us to our room, it was a big room meant for 4 occupants with an attached bathroom. What more could we ask? Syukur. It was located on the Mezzanine floor, that meant that there was no need to take the many flight of stairs or cramp in the single lift. What a blessing. We quickly put down our luggage, took our ablution and immediately went downstairs, I didn't even bother to take the food, I had to get to Kaabah.

I brought my handbook, the one with all the doa and all the tips.
The mosque was so close by, that it felt almost like when we walked out of the hotel, we walked straight into the mosque. There was only the street dividing it. When we entered, we saw a woman complaining about her losing her shoe, and in my heart I was reminded to better take care of my slippers. I quickly entered the Masjidil Haram and I was in awe upon looking at the Kaabah.

I read the doa book as I made my way to do the Qudum tawaf (circumferencing) around the Kaabah with E and A. We made our way among the thousands of pilgrims. We stuck together holding each other tightly, but the tighter we held on to each other, the more "terpesong" or "out of track" of our tawaf. The sea of humans just did not make it possible for us to be together. Then A lost his ablution to a wind in his stomach and so, me and E proceeded with the tawaf. We completed the 7 circumferences but with a lot of pushing and shoving. And I was reading my Haj guidebook too for the doa. And I had one hand to cover my face to prevent men from knocking off my ablution. When we finished, we prayed at the sides and then had the zamzam water and went to Bukit Safa for the Saei. It was a learning experience. And I felt so thankful to Allah for bringing me here with E and A.

Then we went back to our rooms and slept.

That morning very early, I think it was at around 3 am, I woke up to do the tawaf alone. I showered in the cold water and immediately went down. Subuh was still a long time more. So I took my time. When I got to Kaabah to circumference it, the minute I entered the starting line, a male voice came from behind me, "Bu, mahu didorong?" (揗ay I guide you?). I didn't turn around to him but he held my shoulders from the back and we circumferenced together. I did not or rather could not look behind as that would cause me to go off track with the wave of human bodies. After we completed the 7 tawafs, he then pushed me into the packed Hijr Ismail and put me right under the Saluran Emas or the Gold Gutter which is known to be the best place to doa or pray. I dont know why, but I didn't bother to look at his face. He stood next to me and told me "SOLAT!" (Pray!) and I prayed 2 rakaats while he stood guard over me. When I finished, I had wanted to thank him, but, he was gone without me even having a chance to say 揟hank you

I waited for Subuh but I started palpitating. After Subuh prayers, I went back to my room and called my mother and asked how everything was and she told me everything was all right. I then called my sick friend抯 handphone. His son picked up the phone and told me his father went into a coma last night. That was why I palpitated so much. A few days later my palpitations got so bad I had to go to the doctor who told me everything was alright. I called up my family and everything was alright. I don抰 know why but I just had to call to enquire about my friend. I called his handphone and his son picked up and told me that his father just passed away that morning at 5 am about the time my palpitations were strongest. Strange feeling indeed.

PART THREE
THE HAJ

Soon it was time for my Haj. The day before we were given a tour of the Arafah and Mina and the place that Adam was thrown to earth. Many went up the Jabal Rahmah but I chose not to. We passed by the cave that the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) first received the first words from Allah. It was steep and high and we were not encouraged to go. I saw from afar many making their journey up. I was told also to be prepared with many obstacles and tests.

Being a MILO addict and being unable to drink Tea or Coffee, I asked my Ustaz whether he would be supplying MILO. He said he would try.

On the day before Wukuf, we made our way on board the bus. I equipped myself with 2 satchets of MILO just in case Ustaz couldn't get MILO. As we arrived in Arafah, we were put in tents separated by the sexes and by Travel agent tents. Mine was Batuta and we were given the best tent. The bathroom was compact and tiny but plenty of water. That night, I experienced my first clash with God. In our food tent which was specifically written BATUTA WANITA a tent specially for the women pilgrims from the Batuta group. However there were many men from the next tent (Faiz Travel) who were making their way to the Batuta Travel food tent and taking all our food and drinks.

I was very angry but then I had to keep my cool. Why can抰 these men just use their own tent? And why were these men intruding into the women抯 food tent? My question to GOD praying for an answer. That night too there were so much food distributed to us that we were saying that God is already answering our prayers for rezeki to bertambah or for us to be prosperous. I made my own packed MILO that night as Milo was not served.

The next morning after our special Khutbahs (sermon) I made my way to the food tent bringing along my sole satchet of MILO. There again were the men from other travel agencies in our food tent. I heard a few women grumbling about the tea and food quickly being depleted because all these other men were taking ours. I must have hit the roof tent. That's it, I thought. I went to the man that I had seen the night before and chided him for taking food from the Batuta women抯 tent, "Abang Haji, ini khemah wanita Batuta, khemah Faiz lelaki sebelah sana, dekat aje...." The guy gives me a sharp look and says, "Ala, makan mana manapun tak ape lah! Semalam pun saya makan sini!" I turned away, "Shish! What an arrogant man!" I thought. I quickly poured my last satchet of MILO in a cup and poured in the hot water..... mmmmmmm its refreshingly tempting.... 'Ahhhhhh... my MILO...... " As I was about to take a sip of my delicious hot MILO I saw a packet of INDOMIE in a box on the floor. "Ahhhh, what a complete breakfast," I thought. So I put my cup of MILO on the table top and bent down to take the INDOMIE. As I got up from my stoop, I was shocked to find my MILO missing from the table top and spotted a Bangladeshi worker pouring out my MILO down into the garbage bin......

Within 2 seconds my MILO just dissipated before my eyes. I almost cried.... Yes, it was God's message to me. "Never ever not share your rezeki with others....!." Oh my GOD the power of ALLAH was so close by... I kept quiet and walked back to the tent, shamed, that GOD had shown me what wrong I had done.... I went back to the tent without breakfast, without MILO.... E asked me what was wrong and I related to her what happened...

BERITA BARUU DARI MAKKAH

Assalaamu`aalaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh

Semoga kita semua diberkati ALLAH.

Aamin Yaa Rabbal `aa lamin.
Wassalaamu `alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh.

Assalamualaikum wrt...

lagi pun tahun ni dengar cerita Bonus company tpt  i keje pun nampak bulan agak terang sikit ... prestasi pun i baguih boss bagi ... kut...kut mampu lah pi ikut travel kut...

tu lah nak tanya korang punya pandangan baik ikut muasasah ke travel agent... bukan apa kalu banyak duit pun simpan untuk hal lain baguih gak... dari bayar travel mahal-mahal...

Saya cadangkan ikut muasasah.

Orang ikut pekej, bayar mahal-mahal, komplen juga.
Orang muasasah bayar murah, komplen juga.
Pekej makan buffet kena beratur sesilap yg last sekali tak dapat makan.
Muasasah makan siap sorang sepeket.
Harga pekej ikut jumlah sebilik.
Muasasah semua sama, kalau bilik kecik dapat 5 orang, bilik besar 12 org, bayar sama.
Bilik air kongsi sebilik satu.
Tu pun kat mekah orang pekej komplen jauh sebab setengah pekej memang jauh sedikit.
Orang muasasah memang jauh, saya dok paling jauh, okay jer.

Kalau tak ambik pakej nanti tak terpilih lagi macam tahun lepas tuh...

Assalaamu`alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh

Saya nasihatkan kepada sesiapa yang nak pergi Umrah bulan March biarlah akhir March kerana kita bimbang visa umrah belum dikeluarkan lagi , sepertimana berlaku di tahun-tahun yang lepas mengakibatkan ramai jemaah terkandas dan tarikh keberangkatan ditunda.

Saya selalu menasihati orang yang nak pergi dengan saya tahun-tahun lepas agar kita tidak pergi awal bulan Rabi `ul Awwal kerana belum tentu permohonan
visa umrah dibuka.

Arab berubah. Ada diantara rakan saya tak mahu pergi dengan saya kerana saya tak mahu pergi bulan March sedangkan dia free dalam bulan March. Saya sudah
katakan bahawa dia mungkin besar menghadapi risiko. Sekarang apa dah jadi ??

nak pergi bulan March. Tiket ( seat ) banyak kosong.

Tahun lepas lain , tahun

mengeluarkan visa ziarah, Itulah hjarapan kita.

Walau bagaimana pun marilah kita sama-sama berdoa supaya semua jemaah yang nak pergi  bulan March ini dihantar ALLAH ke tanah suci . Hanya kepada ALLAH tempat kita bermohon. ALLAH berkuasa diatas segala-galanya.

Sekian wassalaamu `alaikum warahmatullaahi

Cerita sembang-sembang Madinah

sambung cerita...

Masa haji dulu saya duduk 4 org sebilik... Yang nak saya ceritakanialah salah seorg pakcik yg sebilik dgn saya... Dia dah pencen dan buathaji dgn isteri dn jiran-jirannya. Pelik sikit pakcik ni, dia agaklebih-lebih dlm soal hukum agama. Saya bersama-sama ahli bilik seringberbincang tentang hukum terutama tntng fardu haji ni.. kadang-kadangmeleret ke isu lain... entah camne pakcik ni selalu menyampukperbincangan kami.. kerana dia tua... kami biasanya hanya mendengar apasaja yg dia kata wlpn hukum yg dibagi ikut nafsu dia yg jahil tentangagama.. sbb hormat kat org tua.. pada satu hari tu... balik solatjumaat dari masjid haram dia marah-marah sbb susah nak cari tempat, berebut dgn jemaah perempuan... lalu dia hukumkan HARAM jemaahperempuan solat Jumaat sbb menganggu jemaah lelaki.. sdgkan isterinyasendiri turut solat Jumaat..

Kemudian dia suka menunjuk-nunjuk kekkayaan... cerita pasal dia bykduit, anak dia kaya-kaya... kita dok dengar je.. malas nak menyampuk...kan tak baik menunjuk-nunjuk kat Mekah ni... sbb kita nak beribadahbukan nak tunjuk kekayaan anak bini.. bayangkan 40 hari sebilik... bykceritanya yg menununjuk-nunjuk, tak tak tersenarai kat forum ni...

Nak pendekkan cerita... kerana selalu dok cerita pasal kekayaan diri...Allah tunjukkan pengajaran buatnya.. Sampai ke Mekah sihat.. selalu kemasjid ikut saya... tapi bila tarikh Wukuf dah dekat tiba-tiba sakit...pakai ambulan ke padang arafah. doktor nasihatkannya supaya tidak bykbergerak... lepas tu semua aktiviti haji spt saie, tawaf kena upah orglain... bisinglah dia banyak kena byr.. lari budgetlah... nak shoppingnanti..

Kerana gemar cakap pasal harta maka  Allah ujinya dgn harta...adil bukan...
