yup primetime after lobo [9pm]. Nope, they're not done yet. Here in the Philippines it's different.. teleseryes are shown & still taping the rest of the episodes.. unlike those in the other countries, they're done taping all the episodes already. |

really?! I thought we're the only ones w/ that kind of format hahaha!!! But some series were already finished before they air it. Like the upcoming Echo & Carmen team up.. Sineseryes like Patayin Sa Sindak, Maligno & Florinda w/c only runs for 3 weeks & Your Song w/c runs every month.
I've seen the MV allready for My Girl... they've done a lot already though.. |

not all production drama here follow that kind of taping, most of them shooting all first then, get them done & finally will show the drama.
but lately, there's some drama production make long episodes, so they follow that kind of format laa

* Kim have siblings both her parent's side. Now, she's the one sending her brothers & sisters tot school. Kim's mom left her when she was 9 & haven't seen her for 9 years already. During her Debut Last April, she wished for her mom to be present at that special day but unfortunately she was not around.

Last thursday night [May 22, 2008], a press preview and launching was held at Studio 1 of ABS-CBN. The pilot episode was shown to the press & they were pretty impressed especially in kim's airport scene. |

The creative team behind the local franchise of the popular Koreanovela My Girl was tasked to localize the hit show to suit the taste of Filipinos.
"In the contract, we were allowed to change it to the point na dapat ma-Filipinize siya dapat iakma lang sa culture ng Pilipinas because magkaiba ang culture ng Koreano at Pinoy," shared My Girl co-director Jerome Pobocan to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview last May 22 after the press preview held at the Studio 1 of ABS-CBN.
The locations used by the show couldn't have been more Filipino-from Luneta, Antipolo, Zambales, to Tagaytay among other familiar places.
Direk Pobocan added, "We really adapted it to the Philippine situation and ifinormula namin the way ABS-CBN comes up with a teleserye. 慪ong formula ng ABS sa paggawa ng teleserye inapply namin dito plus the fact that we lightened up para magmarka 憏ong essence ng totoong My Girl."
KIMERALD. Leading the cast of My Girl is Kim Chiu who portrays the role of Jasmine-a spunky, street smart and charming jack-of-all trades heroine. Starring alongside Kim is love team partner Gerald Anderson who plays the well-off, serious and educated Julian.
My Girl follows the story of Jasmine whose poor fortune suddenly changes when she was hired to pretend as Julian's long lost cousin. Jasmine's role takes a sudden turn when she realizes that she is falling in love with Julian. The feeling, as it turned out, was mutual. Problem is, both parties couldn't come out in the open because they made everyone believed that they were indeed cousins. My Girl is a love story intertwined with comic situations.
"They improved a lot since Sana Maulit Muli," boasted direk Pobocan about the performance of Kim and Gerald.
"The passion is there. Mas lalong nag-intensify yong passion. Because before [in Sana Maulit Muli], passion lang. That kept me going na i-train 憏ong dalawang bata. Now bukod sa passion may skill na although they have a lot to learn still pero meron ng dimension," he continued.
But among the two, it was Kim who showed marked improvement as an actress. Even her directors, admittedly, were surprised.
"I'm so proud kay Kim kasi alam ko meron na 憏ong bata noon pa lang. Pero I never expected na ganito. Leaps and bounds," observed Direk Pobocan who shares directorial duties with Erick Salud.
"This early they [Kim and Gerald] learned that in this business, it's not enough that you're popular. In this business, you need skill and you need to love it and I think ginagawa naman nila. Mahal nila 憏ong trabaho nila that's why pinaghuhusayan nila."
And just how dedicated, particularly Kim, to the show? Well, she had to learn to speak Mandarin to justify her role as a tour guide for tourist Chinese.
"Hindi po kasi ako marunong mag-Mandarin. Ang alam ko po talaga Fookien, yun po ang sinasalita namin sa bahay. Pero Mandarin po, hindi po talaga. Kaya double effort pa po talaga. Bale may teacher po kaming nagtuturo sa amin ng pagsasalita ng Mandarin. Ako po, si Alex Gonzaga at saka po si David Chua [ang nag-aaral ng Mandarin]," said Kim.
YOUTH AND EXPERIENCE. Joining Kim and Gerald are Enchong Dee, Nina Jose, Alex Gonzaga and David Chua. Complementing the young cast are veteran actors Ronaldo Valdez, Bing Loyzaga, Lito Pimentel, and comedian-singer K Brosas.
Mixing veterans with young stars gives the show a perfect balance particularly on some scenes that require experience and depth.
ABS-CBN is also scheduled to release a My Girl soundtrack comprised of songs such as "Sabihin Mo Na" and "Crazy Love" (Chinese version) performed by Kim Chiu. A Kim and Gerald duet of "Sabihin Mo Na," "My Girl," by Sam Milby, "Gulo, Hilo, Lito," by ex-Moonstar 88 vocalist Acel Van Omen, and Pinoy Dream Academy alumna Yeng Constantino.
The cast will also embark on a nationwide tour of malls and various campuses.
