Cup pun bertanya juga..

Apa fungsi soda bikarbonate tu di campur dgn cuka???hari tu Cup ada try buat Red Velvet Vake nih  tapi tak baca instruction betul2 so baking soda tu Cup ayak sekali dgn tepung..ha..ha...

Bila dah masak kek tu mcm tak naik sgt..mcm dalam gambar2 kat sini..or dalam internet tu..


so this time Cup nak pi Pavillion, then beli Red Velvet versi cupcake kat Slice of Heaven..nak tau sebetul-betulnya texture cake tu camner..

Red Velvet Cupcake -kredit to fp kak rusnah

1 1/2 cups butter, softened to room temperature*
2 cups sugar or less
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt
3Tbs. red food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract*
3 1/4 cups flour
3 Tbs. cocoa powder
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 8-inch or 9-inch cake pans or line three muffin pans with cupcake liners.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Combine yogurt, red food coloring and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in another bowl. Alternate adding the yogurt mixture and flour mixture into the large bowl. Pour batter into prepared pans or lined muffin pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes (15-20 minutes for cupcakes) or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely.

Dah buat red velvet guna resepi kak rusnah..tp yg part yogurt tu ..ku tukar jd buttermilk.




yg ni guna butter roux frosting tp ai campur chedar cheese utk bg rasa cheese sbb cream cheese out of stok.

Baru je siap, my version of Red Velvet Cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.  Resipi telah diubahsuai.    I use Cadbury chocolates (tak guna cocoa powder).  Buttermilk pun tak jadi guna.  I substituted with orange juice campur vanilla esen.
So happy menjadi cupcakes ni!  Lalalala......

Otter guna resepi choc cake tapi reducekan choc and tambah kaler merah.
Sedap makan sejuk2 letak plak cream cheese banyak2..
Anybody dah try makan dekat Whisk ? Selalu blog walking mcm ramai plak p sana test Red Velvet..

Akak tak pernah cuba Red Velvet yang guna buttermilk.  So tak tahu ler rasa dia macam mana.  Resipi yg akak guna tu include yogurt.  Akak ganti dengan orange juice sebab kat rumah tak ada yogurt.  Sedap jugak!  

Resipi nanti akak cari balik.

Resipi yang saya guna memang letak baking soda dan baking powder.  So saya guna dua-dua.  Baking Soda beli kat Cold Storage Ikano.  Memang tertulis kat kotak `Baking Soda.'

Apa difference Baking powder & baking soda?  Wallahualam....saya pun tak tahu.....ikut je resipi.  hehehe......

Hehe...orait dh found info pasal baking soda ni :-

Baking soda and bicarbonate of soda are different names for the same thing; in Australia, we mostly refer to it as bicarbonate of soda, but overseas, especially in America, it is referred to as baking soda. They aren’t interchangeable, but bicarbonate of soda and baking powder are both leavening agents. When included in a batter, the leavening agent causes air bubbles (produced by stirring, whipping or beating) to expand when cooked

So, actually nya baking powder & baking soda ni sama je ke?  Apasal resipi specify baking powder and baking soda.  Tak leh just letak baking powder je?  

Nota kaki : I guna baking soda ni untuk basuh uniform sekolah anak-anak.  Supposedly it can take off the stink from clothes.  And boy do my sons school clothes stink!

tidak sama dengan baking powder................
