Maxis says network is down, restoration work ongoing (Update: Services being restored gradually)

(Update: Maxis has updated its earlier statement on the service disruption, saying “services are being restored gradually and expect full restoration soon”.

“We would like to once again thank our customers for their understanding and patience,” the telco added.)

PETALING JAYA: Maxis appears to be hit with a technical issue that is affecting a number of its customers today (June 30).

On Twitter, some users claim they are not able to make calls and connect to the Internet with mobile data.

The company has responded to some subscribers via its MaxisListens account with an apology, saying they are facing a technical issue at the moment.

“We are aware of this and restoration work is still ongoing,” it said in a tweet to one user.

On the company’s Facebook page, users have also began sending inquiries about the network issue. Some claim to be users from Klang Valley areas such as Ara Damansara, Puchong, Cheras and Ampang.

LifestyleTech has reached out to Maxis for comments.

Iols pakai maxis tak perasan plak line tak ok sbb skrg guna wifi unifi.

oh, begitu ceritanya Kekdahnya sesapa yang guna Yodoo, yakni produk prepaid under Celcom jugak, akan diterminate kelak. Rasa dalam tempoh 3 bulan selepas merge celcom-digi.

Harap2 adela pelan baru yang best nanti. Unifi TM pon guna line celcom kan? atau terbalik? sebab line unifi meols sendu chuolsss, waima mobile mahupun wifi kat rumah. Rengsa sangat yach!
