Berkenaan pasal Golden Lily,ketika perang dunia ke II,  Jenderal Tomoyuki Yamashita yang menguasai indon, malaya, singapore, vietnam, filipina, dan thailand. Semasa  dia berkuasa, Negara Nippon telah melakukan sebuah operasi yang dikenal dengan operasi Kin no yuri (Golden Lily) . Operasi ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan dana perang bagi Nippon, dan tentara nippon mulai mengumpulkan seluruh arta (emas, dll) dari setiap daerah jajahan. Sampai saat Jepon menyerah, harta – harta tersebut masih terkubur rapi di bawah tanah, walaupun sebagian sudah ditemukan.

Rumour  mengatakan, lokasi tempat harta ini berada di sebuah teluk di filipina, tersembunyi di gua-gua, terowongan dan kompleks bawah tanah.  Banyak yang percaya akan adanya harta di tempat ini, tapi karena struktur bentuk dan rupa muka bumi medannya telah berubah, harta ini semakin sukarr dicari.  Di samping itu, banyak dari mereka yang tahu lokasi jarahan mati masaperang, atau kemudian diadili oleh Sekutu atas kejahatan perang dan dipenjara. Yamashita sendiri dieksekusi karena kejahatan perang pada  23 Februari 1946.salah satu bukti sejarah adalah berkenaan kapalselam sopersaiya nippon iaitu I-401 yang dijumpai  pada Mac 2005.------>I-401
