Hi Ana location hotel Ana tu ok, 2.5km is not far from city centre memandangkan Kuta busy 24 jam. Lagi pun ada shuttle,  senang. Ana ngan husband mesti busy je lah kat Bali nanti, macam-macam ada  Macam Kak J kena duk kat pantai sebab anak-anak, kalau kami berdua je, Poppies Lane 1 or 2 pun ok jek.
Hotel Gazebo tu letak harga lebih dari US$110/night masa peak season, tapi Kak J siap bargain-bargain lagi Restoran Hotel Gazebo ni halal, tak tau ler kut sekarang masih lagi ke tak. Nothing to compare with Wina's buffet breakfast spread macam dalam gambor Chemeya tu, Wina's is superb.
Kak J pun nak ke Bali next week, insyaallah. Looking forward to the trip  I have always like Bali, I hardly shop there, but more for relaxing and spend quality time with family

Peak season selalunya penuh dengan Australians sebab winter is from June-August, tu sumer pakat duk lari pi Bali. They will normally stay for more than a week. Also, Bali is a popular destination for their surfing activities.

Kalau duk kat hotel macam Bounty, Melasti kat Legian,Tegal Sari kat Ubud,  Kumala Pantai kat Sanur ke Legian...not sure lak location tempat ni, Febris, Green Garden kat Tuban, penuh je dengan depa.

Kalau ikut statistic foreign tourists arrival to Bali in 2010 kan, Malaysia kat tangga keempat lepas Australia, Jepun dengan China, tau.... ramai orang kita duk lepak kat Bali rupanya....heh..heh..

Kat Australia, ramai jugak Mamat-Mamat Saleh duk pakat tayang singlet 'Beentengg' (Bintang) depa.... mentara cuaca tengah duk panas lagi nih 'Bintang' singlet ni is a must 'item' to buy, it seems...

Hi Chemeya, salam.. Kak J ada singgah blog Chemeya, cantik-cantik gambornya and Chemeya satu family really enjoying the trip.

Dorby nak duk kat area mana in the very first place?

Kak J cut and paste some info about Poppies Lane

Poppies Lane I is one of the main accommodation streets in Kuta. Along with Poppies Lane II just to the north, this area is lined with budget hotels and guesthouses. Most of them are simple and cheap places that can’t be booked in advance online. This usually isn’t a problem since most of these cheaper places operate mostly on a walk-up business. During peak times and especially if you arrive late in the day during a peak holiday time you might be scrambling to find a place you like. Not surprisingly, the better places tend to fill up first, so when the city is crowded you’ll be left choosing among the less desirable places, and that might even be some work.
You might consider booking at least your first night at one of the hotels that does online reservations. With this strategy you’ll be able to go straight there and put your bags away, and then you’ll have nearly 24 hours to find an ideal place starting the next night. Or you might prefer to stay in the place you booked.

Poppies Lane II in Kuta is jammed with guesthouses and hotels, and most of them are simple places that can’t be booked online in advance. During most times of the year you can arrive bags in hand and find a room that suits your budget. You may not get a room at the top place on your list, but you should be able to get a similar room for a similar price not far away.
During peak travel season and especially if you arrive late in the day you might have more trouble. It’s worth considering booking your first night at one of the places in Kuta that does confirm reservations online. If you like it there you can probably stay, but if you intend to find a cheaper and simpler place for the rest of your stay it gives you a big advantage. You can put your bags away in your room and then march up and down the streets until you find the place you like best for the rest of your stay.

Reply 115# kasihmama

Salam kasihmama,
Setahu Kak J, kebanyakan restoran dan hotel di Bali makanannya tak halal, that includes Hard Rock. Tapi, kasihmama find out lagi lah tentang HRH takut info Kak J ni outdated. But then, standard breakfast macam kopi, teh, a couple of toasts with butter and jam is always available besides their banana pancake, another popular brekky choice. Mana hotel pun ada penkek pisang nih.

Bali sekarang dah banyak kedai makanan halal macam yang kenkawan poremers kita kat sini duk pegi. Warung Nasi Padang pun dah banyak. Mas Yanto, Pak Isme ke Sopir Bali mesti tahu banyak lagi tempat....they can assist in this, insyaallah  Yanto sibuk kut kasihmama.

Anywayyyy......
Yang hotel ni Kak J jumpa kat TA, (bukan promo ya Mod...sy tak de kena mengena cuma bantu je )

baligardenhotel.com/special_malaysia_holiday…

this is only until 31 Mar 2011. Find out lah kut depa extend ke apa ke. (Ada jugak hotel yang promote khas untuk Malaysia ....selalu duk promote untuk Aussie oi..oi...oi jerrr memanjang )

Yang ni pulak, suggestion from few TA members, salah satu restoran halal:-

Plengkung
Jln Raya Kuta No.90
Javanese cuisine.Reasonable price.
Restaurant setting - not warung.
Can get very busy.
Clientele mainly Indonesian, Japanese, Korean.
Some westerners - usually mixed couples.
Have eaten here many many times.
Another one in Raya Kuta (not eaten here)

Rumah Makan Wong Solo
Jl. Raya Kuta No. 87 Telp. 0361-7435459
http://www.wongsolo.com

Warung Malang on Jalan Patimura, with a few other good Halal warungs in that street.
Warung Sundra on Jalan Kediri 2 Tuban.

There are many padang food places scattered around Bali......one is just before Matahari hotel in Benesari/ lebek lane coming from melasti st.A few on Jalan legian up Legian end. Most of the little cheap warungs everywhere serve halal food.
I also think Warung Melati in Jalan 66 sells Halal food. And of course all the seafood places in Jimbaren (Lias, Menega, Myoman cafe etc).

I also read there are a few places up top floor of discovery mall shopping centre in Tuban.
**Credit to Mic and Perthlovetotravel, Trip Advisor**

P/S  Yang atas ni, Kak J sendiri pun tak tahu tang mana hala Jalan 66, Lebek lane, Benesari, Patimura....Pak Isme, Mas Yanto, Supir Bali boleh bantu bagi more info kut

... kalau tepek link camni ok ke, kang Momod marah lak

Poppies Lane I and II tu bukan jauh sangat antara satu dengan lain, parallel to each other. Depend jugak lah on your plan what you and others would like to do while you are there. Accommodation kat Poppies tu memang very popular with budget, losmen, homestay pun ada, backpackers and so on. That area busy, kira happening ler untuk yang muda remaja.... Bukan besor benor pun lanenya, ala-ala satu kereta nak selisih pun susah Tapi ok la untuk tidur and simple brekky.

Better Dorby cari accommodation from now on, sebab 7 orang pegi and you may need few rooms. Go to all the portals then compare prices; macam Agoda ke, Wotif ke, Hoteltravel ke, Asiaroom ke. Kak J  booked hotel yang nak gi next week ni through Bali Discovery, that was done last November for my April trip!.  First time using this site. Belum pegi lagi so tak leh nak bagi review.

Kalau tak pm kat Supir yang ada kat sini, they are helpful.
