How Wooden Mice Are Made

A wooden mouse is much better than a plastic one. It’s more pleasant to hold a warm wood in your hand than plastic.

So why aren’t wooden mice widely sold? It’s because it’s hard to make them. Only self-employed craftsmen make such attempts.

One guy needed 5 years to achieve a nice result. For the new type of case he had to develop special electronics.












This mouse is 4 years old and it is still being sucessfully used.

The coating is made on the basis of natural linseed oil with special additives that help to dry faster and make the coat more reliable. The process of applying this mixture takes long time – from a week to a month. The finishing material for covering a mouse is carnauba wax.
