Ooooh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... just one word good enough to wrap my whole comment about this mobie i.e. super excellent ...
In terms of rate... I would simply give this movie 10 out of 10 ...
Before I share my short and brief rebiu of this mobie, enjoy listening to its OST... here you gooooo...
My rebiu:
At first, I was not really convinced that this mobie would able to entertain and amaze me.
When I was growing up, I watched a lot of cartoons where human driving a monstrous robot to fight and battle with a super monster creature. And to transform such kind of cartoon animation into movie acting by real humans would really cost a lot of money and require a genius & smart brain to materialize it. And I was also not so convinced that this mobie would make it to meet mobie goers expectation and far from exceeding it. But after sitting for 2 hours watching the whole mobie, I was totally satisfied and was so excited.
The movie music scores were excellent. I really enjoyed watching the battle & the fight in between the Jaeger vs Kaiju along with its funtastic music background. The battle in between the Jaegers and Kaijus in Hong Kong was expolsive and bombastic. The death of two Jaeger teams in HK was so devastating i.e Crimson Typhoon driven by Chinese team and Cherno Alpha driven by Russian team. Even they almost losing Striker Eureka driven by Australian team as well. But with the last minute approval from the Pentecost, their leader to authorize Gypsy Danger driven by Raleigh and Mako to fight the Kaiju had saved Striker Eureka.
And of course the credit must go to Dr. Newton Geiszler, Gottlieb and Hannibal Chou as well. Their characters in deed needed to loosen the tense and stress faced by the audiences because watchiing the fight and the battle in between the Jaeger vs Kaiju was very stressfull, tension, full of explosion and destruction. Their appearance really working and the audiences will laugh like hell with their humorus acting.
Scenes that really effective which I love so much:
1. The very first scene when the Beckett brother was prepared to be put into the Jaeger... the music that come along with the scene was superb. And ths music was also being played when the Jaeger was battling and fighting with Kaiju ... I just love the music background so much....
2. The scenes battle and fight in between the Jaegers and Kaiju were super awesome. A lot of stress and tense... Have to hold my breathe as Kaijus were actually very smart and very brainy...
3. The scene when Dr Newton first time went into Kaiju's brain ... that was so funny like hellllll...
4. the scene when Dr Newton and Gottlieb went into Kaiju baby's brain ... That was the first time they agreed on one thing (as they awlays disagree with each other) and again, the acting by these 2 actors was so damn hilarious...
5. And of course, Hannibal Chou ... oh my god... I just love Ron Perlman. Credit must be given to him as he really made Hannibal Chou character to be remembered by the audiences after the movie was ended. He was so damn funny, with his own unique character & personality. Surely audiences will laugh like hell if they think of a crazy guy with golden shoes eaten by little Kaiju . But actually, if you stay put toward end of th mobie and watching the credit being shown on the screen, there was a shortt scene showing Hannibal Chou cut the baby Kaiju's belly with knife to escape from baby's Kaiju stomach which was so damn funny...

Kaiju is actually an alien monster from the other world. There is a wormhole created by Kaiju at the Pacific abyss and Kaiju using this access to come to earth. Actually, Kaiju had attempted to come to earth thousand of years ago, but they can't survivie on earth environment during that time. As human started to pollute and smear the earth, gradually, human has created a suitable atmosphere for Kaiju to live. Kaiju is actually a very smart and brainy creature. At first they send a smaller Kaiju to come to earth... to study and collecting info....then they send more bigger Kaiju to destroy earth before they send more and bigger Kaiju to kill human and conquer the world ...
Overall, this is a must watch movie for this year. I really hope there would be a seaquel to come in the following years ... What a great mobie to watch and thinking to watch it again for 2nd round ... Last edited by MissNigga on 13-7-2013 09:28 PM
Babak yang memaparkan Mako punya memory teramat sedey bangat. Memory di mana bandar Mako telah diserang oleh Kaiju dan dalam serangan tersebut telah mengorbankan mak dan bapak Mako. Si Kaiju yang menyerang bandar Mako telah mengejar Mako tetapi Jaeger yang dikendalikan oleh Pentecost telah berjaya membunuh Kaiju tersebut dan telah mengambil Mako sebaga anak angkat dan membesarkan Mako ...
Babak ni dipaparkan dengan begitu berkesan sekali... bukan saja dipaparkan dari mata Raleigh saja, tetapi dipaparkan secara terus dengan first hand view dari audiences yang menonton jugak. Memang terasa air mata nak menitis menonton babak nie ... . One main reason why Mako teringin menjadi pemgemudi Jaeger dan one main reason jugak mengapa Pentecost tidak mahu Mako menjadi pengemudi Jaeger. Tetapi atas bimbingan Raleigh juga telah berjaya menjadikan Mako sebagai gandingan Raleigh untuk mengemudi Gypsy Danger ...

yepp,benerr, eureka tu robot dari negara kanggaro...salah satu robot yg dibawa pegi ke negeri hongkong*(Crimson Typhoon dari Cina, Cherno Alpha dari Rusia, Gypsy Danger dari amerika dan Striker Eureka kanggaro mari) ,memang moden dari segi teknologi dan pensenjataan....tapi tada "escape pod "..hahahaha
ini bener,setelah pakcit idres elba membawahati ke hongkong kerana faktor dana dan banyak robot yg rosak dan musnah kerana kaiju2 telah berevolosi setanding dengan kemajuan jaeger tahun demi tahun.
sperti yg u tahu jaeger gypsy danger, mempunyai reaktor nuklir yg usang dan otai,telah digunakan sebagai kamikazi atau misi bunuh diri,bagi memberhentikan portal /sarang keluar masok kaiju2 ke dunia.nampak klise kan..kan..plot sebegini sudah banyak kali di gunakan pakai..untuk settlekan konflik..hahahaha.
Pasific Rim ,..walaopon pertarungan asyik asyik dalam hujan ajerr,secara ringkas,memang berhasil "melontarkan",dengan megah ...sombong dan gigantik dan colossus,secara zoominsehingga kiter boleh nampak piston2 dan alur alur pada badan robo dan testur ruipa kaiju. robo dan kaiju ini tampil dengan dengan "dark style", terutama ombak...lautan bergelora...robo dan raksasa digambar memnag begitu detil dan "bernyawa"...tapi dalam dalam pada itu ak pberfikir,dan tersemyum,..mereka dulu ada ~ 30 robo @jaeger. yang funny nya, ngapa wait so long until got only 4 jaegers left then decide to deploy the kamikazi plan?for ur info ..pacific rim 2 confirmed ... already in process of writing the plot...mereka confident dengan pelem neh nampak nyer
okay rebiu pjg pasal jaeger lawan kaiju,...dalam cerita ini robot dipanggil Jaeger dan raksasa dipanggil Kaiju. Jaegar dari bahasa jerman manakala Kaiju dari bahasa Jepun.
Satu cerita yang hebat terutama efek yang hampir keseluruhan menggunakan CGI, skor bunyi dan lain lain. Ada jugak kadangkala bila guna CGI nampak terlalu 'computerish' bila berkaitan dengan objek2 selain robot dan raksasa seperti kereta,jambatan dan lain-lain.
Jalan cerita bagi aku biasa-biasa. Guna standard biasa, diserang-hero wujud-hero kalah-hero bangkit semula dan menang.
Skrip bagi aku pun biasa aje cuma skrip2 seperti menaikkan semangatlah.
Bagi aku orang yang pegang watak hero bernama Raleigh Beckett iaitu Charlie Hunnam cara dia berjalan, bercakap, ekspressi marah, emosi lebih kurang sama dengan lakonan dia dalam drama Son Of Anarchy iaitu watak ketua gangster Jax Teller.
Heroin Rinko Kickuchi yang bawa watak Mako Mori, biasa-biasa aje. Mula2 nampak introvert akhirnya nampak menyerlah aje.
Jaeger kalau ikut promo sebelum pelem keluar nampak banyak tapi bila dalam cerita hanya beberapa je guna seperti Jaeger milik hero Gyspy Danger dari amerika, Striker Eureka dari Kanggaroo mari, Cherno Alpha dari russia dan Crimson Thypoon dari China.
Jaeger2 ni ada kehebatan sendiri yang diterangkan oleh watak Stacker Pentecost yang dibawa oleh Idris Elba tapi bila lawan senang pulak nak rosak dan hancur kena dengan Kaiju.
In the end Gyspy Danger gak yang setelkan semua walaupun kaki satu dah cacat dan tangan sebelah dah putus.
Kaiju ni dibezakan dengan kategori gred berdasarkan saiz seperti kategori 1,2,3,4 dan 5. Setiap Kaiju yang keluar ada code name macam Daggerhead dan Jaiju tapi disebabkan hanya disebut sekali sahaja dalam pelem, bila Kaiju tu keluar dari laut so nama tu terus xingat. Yang agak "pelik" dalam cerita ni bila Jaeger berkumpul di Hong Kong kerana Kaiju keluar dari laut dekat Hong Kong. Sedangkan sebelum ni Kaiju ni ada di mana-mana tempat.
Yang tak logik adalah bila Beckett boleh bertahan tanpa oksigen, siap boleh bercakap lagi bila nak letupkan Jaeger dia. Siap sempat letupkan, masuk escape pod . Seperti biasa dalam feel good muvee, hero xboleh mati. Jadik tiba-tiba hero boleh bernafas balik walau dah lama xsedarkan diri akibat kurang oksigen dalam escape pod tu.

as a girl with a penchant for man with deep voice, this film is truly an eargy fest for me. Becket with his hoarse coarse voice, coupled with his tragic past and his struggle to come back from his tragedy. Pentecost that bass velvety yet enriched with such authority, and the Henson son & father's rough Australian accent especially the younger Henson's smug attitude, which you just can't blame them because they are that good. eargasm to the max uooollsssss......
ok enough with the fangirling. let's get back to the real review.
Superb! tu je yg aku boleh gambarkan setelah menonton filem ni. nk ikutkan filem ni mmg agak panjang. aku masuk 11.45 dan kuar wayang pkl 2ptg. tp citer die mmg pantas dan garang smpi korang tak terasa pun citer ni pjg sbnrnye. del toro korg paham2la sendiri kalau die wat citer fantasi mmg latar belakang die sgt detail walaupun agak bleak skit. heh heh. utk filem kali ni aku rs mcm ade gaya steampunk asian la plak. dan citer ni sbnrnye berlaku di masa hadapan, korg kene amati satu dialog dr becket yg ckp die penah bunuh seekor kaiju pada thn 2017. tu pun 5 thn yg lalu katenye. plot citer die pasal pentecost yg bercadang nk tutup terus satu bridge yg menghubungkan dunia kita dgn dunia kaiju tu melalui rekahan2 pada dasar laut. tp program jaeger ni sbnrnye nk ditutup sbb kerajaan dunia tgk jaeger ni mcm dh tak berkesan plus tak cost effective. and diorg cdg nk buat wall je pdhal wall tu senang2 je kaiju tu tembus. n dgn bantuan 2 org saintis gila yg predict kaiju ni akan dtg pada sekian2 masa n brape ekor kaiju ni akan masuk, yg sorg lg kaiju groupie yg hidup mati minat giler kt kaiju. yg 2 org saintis gile ni lah yg akan menyumbangkan satu vital information yg teramatla penting masa proses nk bom bridge tu nnt. bukan stakat comic relief je. ape die? gi tgk sendiri. confirm korg takkan menyesal
and better korg tgk 3d la. ntah bg aku sbb filem ni asyik berlatarbelakang waktu malam jah so agak kabur la skit. tp babak pertarungan antara kaiju n jaeger tu mmg akan membuatkn korg cringe habis. sbb kaiju tu laju siap bleh terbang lg, jaeger ni robot so pergerakan die agak lambat la gitu. plus becket ni mmg sayang tul ngan mako, skit2 hold on mako! we can do this mako! masa mako kurang oksigen pun die derma oksigen kt mako.
5/5 dr aku. yg ni mmg layak dpt markah penuh la dr aku for a summer blockbuster movie
