PERKARA2 MISTERI SEBELUM BERLAKU INSIDEN PENCEROBOHAN DI LAHAD DATU, SABAH !!

Post time 3-3-2013 02:52 AM | Show all posts |Read mode

Terdapat beberapa peristiwa pelik/misteri yg telah berlaku beberapa ketika sebelum berlaku pencerobohan didakwa askar sultan sulu di lahad datu, sabah :-

1.) The incident involving a large group of Sulu warriors (Royal Army of Sulu) currently locked in a standoff with Malaysian authorities at Lahad Datu in Sabah is not merely about the Sultanate of Sulu enforcing its ancestral claims on Sabah.

Do not be misled as this current unfolding of events is the beginning of a much sinister ploy.

Sabah is ground zero in a conspiracy perpetrated by very powerful entities and the Filipino Muslims rebels currently at standoff with Malaysian authorities are merely pawns in a game where lives are ‘meant’ to be lost for a deceptive cause.

Claims that Sulu warriors landed in Sabah because the Sulu Sultanate was left out of the recent peace process brokered by Malaysia between Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Philippines Government is NOT REALLY THE FACT!

The following are some facts and evidence that reveal why Sabah is Ground Zero:

1. The SMOKESCREEN ?

This ship – USS GUARDIAN – ran aground in Tubbataha Reefs in Philippines on Jan 17, 2013.

The USS Guardian, after it ran aground in Tubbataha Reefs is pictured on Jan. 17, 2013, by the Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Command.

This ship was ‘deliberately’ made to sail off-course. Imagine with the latest equipment on board and having sailed through the same route many times, this minesweeper ship was unable to differentiate the reefs from the waters.

Despite being warned repeatedly by Tubbataha Reef Marine Rangers, the USS Guardian commander refused to listen and stop.

He even ordered his crew to get into ‘battle position’ when the rangers tried to get on board to make a routine inspection on the ship after it ran aground.

Until today, it remains a mystery: Why were they even near Tubbataha? The Sulu Sea is so vast, and it takes hours from Puerto Princesa to reach it. Why couldn’t they see it when they had all the state-of-the-art maps and navigation systems? asked Jose Ma. Lorenzo, World Wildlife Fund-Philippines chief executive officer.

THIS is what Philippines Department of Transportation and Communication Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said of the US Sailors on board USS Guardian:
“Some say they probably enjoyed too much of an RnR in Subic, some said error in digital charts, some say they were doing a different thing there on their own…..”

In other words, the Secretary was trying to imply that USS Guardian was running its own 'clandestine' operation.

(For further read on the USS GUARDIAN issue, please go to: http://globalnation.inquirer.net)

Could it be that this incident created a smokescreen for some other activities to take place in the Sulu Sea and adjoining Celebs Sea?

* The date of the incident was Jan 17, 2013.

* Members of the self-styled Royal Army of Sulu invaded Sabah on Feb 11, 2013, which is 24 days later.

There was a flurry of activities involving US ships as well as rescue and salvage ships in the Sulu Sea since the Jan 17 incident at Tubbahata Reef region.

As a matter of fact, the crew on board USS Guardian were quickly rescued and whisked away to a Japan safe zone. Why were they not brought to Philippines which is the most logical thing to do?

Could it be that all this activities that ensued in the Sulu Sea could have provided an opening for hundreds of speed boats with Sulu warriors to sail into Sabah undetected?

Something is just not right with the USS Guardian.

Sultan Jamalul Kiram III has been a toothless tiger for a very long time as he is plagued by a lot of problems, from family infightings, health issues, financial difficulty and rivals claiming his throne, more than a dozen to speak.

One just has to read www.fakesulusultans.com to catch a glimpse of how many ‘sultans’ are claiming the one throne in Sulu.

Jamalul Kiram knows his kingdom is not safe in his hands, and he suffers from liver ailment as well as other illnesses, and lives in constant fear that someone will poison him to claim his throne.

But then, suddenly, the toothless tiger Jamalul Kiram grows fangs and claws.

He orders his troops, helmed by his crown prince, to invade Sabah knowing very well that the full might of the Malaysian army will be upon his men.

How did this happen? Any by the way, Jamalul Kiram is still undergoing treatment at a Manila hospital for liver ailment.

This begs the question, who is behind Jamalul Kiram’s renewed vigour in claiming Sabah?

Who gave money to the Sulu warriors aka ROYAL SULU ARMY to buy speed boats, fuel,  food, clothes and weapons that include M16 and M14 rifles, M16 carbines and M203 grenade launchers?

This only means one thing –

SOMEONE IS BANKROLLING THE ENTIRE OPERATION.

And the troops that came in via sea were taken in and cared by those living in Sabah, reinforcing the fact that sleeper cells have been activated.

Sleeper cells are activated when orders are given to them together with funds as proof of an assignment’s authenticity.

4. Sulu Royalties seek AMERICAN help to claim Sabah

While poor old Sultan Jamalul Kiram is having it hard in the Philippines, six of his close relatives and heirs are living the American dream. They reportedly have become American citizens.

Upon receiving news that their patriarch is mounting a challenge to reclaim Sabah, Jamalul Kiram’s relatives, nephews and nieces are very excited.

They are so excited with the prospects of reclaiming Sabah that they now want the United States and President Barack Obama to help Sultan Jamalul Kiram with his claim.

Former Senator Santanina Rasul, one of  Jamalul Kiram’s relatives and heirs who lay claim over Sabah, told journalists that one of her sons, Abraham Rasul Jr is an American citizen and has right to claim his share in the inheritance of Sabah.

The articles on Sulu Sultan heirs to ask US help on Sabah can be read here:

Did PKR duo find facts on CONMAN in Manila or did they learn more?

In early February 2013, two PKR politicians from Malaysian went to Manila to probe on Aman Futures Group conman Manuel Amalilion who defrauded Filipinos of 12 billion pesos in a Ponzi scheme.

The duo told Malaysians that they are going to Manila on a fact finding mission on Manuel Amalilio and his Aman Futures Group.

They took a Friday night flight, stayed in Manila on Saturday and returned to KL the following day.

The Question is - why did they go to Manila on a fact finding mission when almost 99% of victims swindled by Amalilio were in the Mindanao and Visayas regions?

After all, Manuel’s office and centre of operations was in Pagadian City, a city that is 1,113km away from Manila.

What were they actually doing in Manila?

Did they meet a CIA agent there under instructions from Anwar Ibrahim’s American contact, or did they meet an agent of Nur Misuari, leader of rebel group Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF)?

Or did they meet an agent of Sultan Jamalul Kiram?

After all, the Sultan is undergoing dialysis treatment in a hospital in Manila.

Indeed, hours after landing in Manila, they did meet someone who resembled a special agent.

It’s no secret that PKR boss has very close ties with the CIA as well as Philippine rebel groups, and is in a position to help US set up a Navy base in Sabah should his coalition form the new federal government (Read http://sabahdigadai.blogspot.com).

6. The MANUEL AMALILIO – SULU SULTANATE CONNECTION

Before we explain further, please read the court proceeding in Philippines as reported in: http://www.sunstar.com.ph/manila/local-news/2012/11/28/pagadian-mayor-wife-charged-syndicated-estafa-255647

Manuel Amalilio was under the radar of Philippines internal security agency for supporting terrorism activities.

After all, he took thousands of Filipino Muslims to the dry cleaners by promising to double up their money with his preposterous scam.

Many Filipino Muslims supported him because he projected a greater cause, which is to make the poor Filipino Muslim community wealthier.

He was often seen praying five times a day and making frequent quotes from the Holy Quran while speaking to investors.

“Philippines Justice Secretary De Lima confirmed the National Bureau of Investigations received intelligence information stating that the multi-billion peso windfall from Aman's (futures group) pyramiding scheme is being used to finance the activities of a terrorist group”.

The above is the actual quote from justice secretary Leila Magistrado De Lima as reported in Philippines media after syndicated estafa charges were filed on Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co and his wife Priscilla Ann in the wake of the Aman Futures Group Scam end of last year.

That is the actual reason why Malaysian police scrambled to stop the deportation of the conman at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport on Jan 25, 2013.

Manuel Amalilio was in a position to provide Malaysian security forces with valuable information on terrorists/rebel groups such as Abu Sayyaf, MNLF and the Royal Sulu Army that could threaten the security in the region.

So despite knowing it would turn out to be a public relations disaster, Malaysian Authorities proceeded to block Manuel’s deportation.

The backlash received by Malaysian Authorities was severe but nonetheless, it was justifiable and worth the trouble.

During interrogation, Manuel has spilled the beans on who he was feeding the money to, and it appears that he is not only a conman, but an enemy to the state of Sabah.

Dozens of payment from these banks (list provided by Philippines Justice Department) indicate that they could have found its way to the hands of terrorist and rebel groups that wanted to derail the Bangsamoro Framework Agreement for peace.

Among the banks covered by the freeze order (on Aman Group’s assets) were the Land Bank of the Philippines; Bank of the Philippine Islands; Banco de Oro; Unibank; Allied Bank; Bank of Commerce; BPI Family Savings Bank; China Banking Corp.; Citibank, NA; Development Bank of the Philippines, East West Bank; Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corp.; Metrobank; One Network Bank; Orix Metro Leasing and Finance Company; Philippine Bank of Communication; Philippine Savings Bank; RCBC; Security Bank; Standard Chartered Bank; Union Bank; UCPB; and Philippine National Bank.

The standoff in Sabah, and its timing, validates the fact that powerful, unseen hands are behind it.

There is a resemblance to many uprisings in the world.

Through highly specialised covert operations, the Government of many countries have fallen.

And often, these clandestine operations are carried out by private defence contractors and mercenaries appointed by the US Government.

The situation in Sabah is no different.

8. The SPOILS

Sabah, it appears, is a prized catch.

For the American, there is a dire need to enhance and strengthen their military presence in the Southeast Asia region, especially to contain China’s rising power.

After Philippines closed its doors on US Clark Naval Base, America has since been looking for another base, ideally in the South China Sea.

Getting its ‘hands’ on Sabah by backing a new Government that will bend to its wishes will be the ideal scenario for US.

There will be a lot of spill-over effects.

It should also be noted that Sabah has oil and gas reserves as big as Kuwait’s.

Besides, there are abundant natural resources and vast mineral deposits such as coal, gold, copper, limestone and etc.

As for some Opposition politicians in Malaysia, the fall of Sabah will signify the ruling coalition, one of the oldest Governments in the world, losing its fixed deposit and hence losing power after a rule of 50 over years.

CONCLUSION

The standoff in Sabah has all the trademarks of a cleverly orchestrated plan to topple the current administrators of Sabah with influence from world superpowers.

The Sulu Sultanate claim is just a smokescreen.

Common sense will show, if Sulu Sultanate wanted to claim back Sabah, why only NOW ???

                petikan akhbar bertarikh 13 julai 2008 :

KUALA LUMPUR: Will the real Sultan of Sulu please stand up.Over the past few weeks, several individuals have come forward claiming to represent the Sulu sultanate and giving their views on Sabah’s long-standing illegal immigrant problem.
The sultanate, no longer a legal entity, existed before the European colonisation of the Philippines and Sabah in the 19th century, ruling parts of Mindanao, Sabah and the islands of the Sulu Sea.

Following the Federal Government’s announcement of a crackdown on Sabah’s illegal immigrants, an individual identifying himself as Sultan Esmail D Kiram II, claiming to be 34th Sultan of Sulu, urged Malaysia to take a humane approach in dealing with the problem.
He echoed the Philippine government’s suggestion that Malaysia grant permanent resident status to Philippine citizens who had been staying in Sabah for a long time.

On Friday, soon after DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang’s claim that the Sulu sultanate had been issuing birth certificates to illegal immigrants from the Philippines in Sabah, three people approached The Star claiming to represent another person claiming to be the Sulu sultan.
The three – Datuk Seri Putra Eddy T. Sulaiman, Datuk Seri Wilfred J. Kulungan and Datuk Seri Harry Lye Kok Heng – handed in a statement from Sultan Rodinood Mohamad Julaspi Kiram II, which said he was not the one behind the issuing of birth certificates to illegal immigrants in Sabah.

Putra Eddy’s business card states that he is the sultan’s adviser and personal secretary while Wilfred and Lye are the sultan’s financial adviser and associate respectively.
In January, Sultan Rodinood, who claims to be the 29th reigning “Sultan of Sulu and North Borneo”, was quoted in Manila as saying that he was claiming territorial rights over Sabah and was willing to take his case to the World Court.
Three years ago, Sultan Rodinood asked Malaysia to pay his sultanate US$20bil (RM75bil) in compensation for getting the Philippine government to drop its claim for Sabah.

Yesterday, Kota Kinabalu MP Dr Hiew King Cheu handed in a letter at the Karamunsing police station in Kota Kinabalu asking the Sabah Police Commissioner to investigate the issuance of the birth certificates by the Sulu sultanate.

The names listed are Sultan Ibrahim Barjin, Sultan Esmael Kiram III, Datu Udah, Sultan Rodinood Julaspi, Sultan Aydal Aliuddin, Sultan Ibrahim Pulalon, Datu Muedzul-Lail Kiram, Aliuddin Haddis Pabila, Akijal Attih and Sultan Fuad Abdullah Kiram I.
Yet another claimant to the throne is Sultan Jamalul D Kiram III, who was “crowned” the 33rd sultan in 1986.

nampaknya ramai yg mendakwa mereka lah keturunan sultan sulu yg sebenar .....adakah dokumen2 yg dikemukakan sahih/authentic ????

Although the Sultanate is no longer officially recognized by any state as a sovereign entity, many individuals continue to claim the title of Sultan of Sulu and/or Sultan of North Borneo, often with documentation that would seem to support their claims.[46]

The website of the provincial government of Sulu recognizes Ismael Kiram II as the present Sultan.[47]
Particularly since the 2013 Lahad Datu standoff began, a number of news reports have described Jamalul Kiram III as Sulu Sultan.[48][49] He was reportedly crowned as the 33rd Sultan of Sulu in 1986.[50] The Sulu provincial government website lists him as reigning from 1983 to 1990.[47]

Muedzul Lail Tan Kiram, another claimant, has insisted on the legitimacy of his succession as the 35th Sultan of Sulu. He cites Memorandum Order 427 of 1974, in which former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos’ recognized his father, Sultan Mahakuttah A. Kiram, as Sulu ruler. [51] [52] The memo states that he is the eldest son of the said Sultan.[53][better source needed] His grandfather was Sultan Esmail E. Kiram (recognized by Philippine government[[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipediaitation_needed]citation needed[/url]]), his great grandfather was Sultan Muwallil Wasit II and his great grand uncle was Sultan Jamalul Kiram I.[[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipediaitation_needed]citation needed[/url]] Additionally, Muedzul Lail Tan Kiram has received foreign recognition for his claim such as the International Commission on Orders of Chivalry (ICOC).[54][55] He is a relative of Jamalul Kiram III.[55]

Datu Mohamad Akjan Datu Ali Muhammad, a Malaysian businessman, proclaimed himself as the 33rd Sultan of Sulu in 2011.[56][46] Other noted claimants include Datu Abdul Rajak Aliuddin[46] and Datuk Seri Putra Eddy T. Sulaiman.[57

OF IMPOSTORS AND FAKE SULTANS OF SULU & SABAH :
1. DATU JAMALUL DALUS KIRAM -- Outsider. Not a member of the Royal blood line of succession.

2. DATU ESMAIL DALUS KIRAM -- . His former name was ISMAIL but he changed it to ESMAIL to mislead the public that he is directly related to Sultan Muhammad Esmail E. Kiram I. He was a candidate in his province of Sulu in the 1992 election as provincial board member but he was rejected by his own constituents as he lost that election.

3. DATU AGHBIMUDDIN DALUS KIRAM -- Jamalul, Esmail and Aghbimuddin are not members of the Royal blood line of succession who are three (3) brothers who also installed themselves sultans of Sulu at the same time. No one in his/her right mind will believe that one family can have three (3) sultans of Sulu and succeed one another while the 3 are still alive at the same time, when no one died or abdicated if they were true royalty and true Sultan of Sulu. These 3 brothers are seen as clowns as they fight each other, with no respect for their own family, that they are treated with derision, disbelief and a laughing stock.

4. RODINOOD JULASPI -- (FABRICATING HIMSELF A KIRAM). Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. Not a descendant or male heir of Sultan Muhammad Esmail E. Kiram I (Sultan 1947-1973). He is not from Sulu but an Ilocano from the Ilocos region of the Philippines . The grandfather of Rodinood Julaspi and Kudar Julaspi was Hadjirul, a commoner with no royal blood, who worked as a horse handler in a horse stable. There is no truth to the claims of Rodinood and Kudar and his father they are descendants of Sultan Jamalul Kiram II, as the Sultan was unfortunately impotent, and did not have any male or female offspring.

5. KUDAR JULASPI -- (FABRICATING HIMSELF A KIRAM). Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. Not a descendant or male heir of Sultan Muhammad Esmail E. Kiram I (Sultan 1947-1973). Rodinood and Kudar Julaspi do not belong to the Royal blood line of succession who are brothers who proclaimed themselves sultans at the same time, which is an insult to the intelligence of many as no one in his/ her right mind will believe two (2) brothers can succeed each other while they are both alive. Kudar is not from Sulu but an Ilocano from the Ilocos region of the Philippines . Kudar and Rodinood are seen as 2 clowns in the Sultanate of Sulu & Sabah.

6. MR. MUDARASULAIL @ DATU PAIJAL -- Descent unknown. Outsider & Commoner. Not of Royal blood . He fabricates himself to be a Kiram. Not a descendant or male heir of HM Sultan Muhammad Esmail E. Kiram I (Sultan 1947-1973). The claims of this man are pure fiction and fantasy made up by his warped and distorted mind. His claim as a datu is questionable and without foundation. He lives in Sabah and works in the police in a lowly position. His claims as sultan are deliberate manipulations to further confuse and destabilize the Sultanate of Sulu.

7. IBRAHIM PULALUN -- Pulalun was proclaimed using the money of Stan C. Brandenburg, a tax agent, an American claiming to be the U.S. Ambassador to Sulu and North Borneo/ Sabah, but they had a falling out and Brandenburg instead supported and installed Bahjin afterwards. Scorned Pulalun advertised on Zamboanga City newspapers that he had nothing to do with Brandenburg.

8. DIGNIM PULALUN -- Another unscrupulous usurper and impostor sultan. Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. He is the son of Ibrahim Pulalun who also installed himself sultan without any lawful rights. So now you have Ibrahim and Dignim Pulalun (father and son) clowning and masquerading without rights to be sultan. These father and son are regarded as clowns in the Sultanate along with the other fake sultans listed hereto.

9. AYDAL ALIUDDIN -- Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. Arrested and imprisoned in Brunei for impersonating the rank and title of Sultan of Sulu.

10. MUHD. YAHCUB ALIMUDDIN V -- Descent unknown. Outsider. He is an Indonesian.

11. HAJI MUHD. AL SAGOV VAN ELDIK (A DUTCHMAN) -- Adopted son of the father of Kudar and Rodinood Julaspi.

12. DEMETRIA OMAR KIRAM -- (FABRICATING HIMSELF A KIRAM). Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. A Zamboanga City hotel in the Philippines is looking for him for failing to pay his hotel bills up to now. He is not from Sulu.

13. DATU MUEDZUL-LAIL T. KIRAM -- A member of the Royal blood line but not
acceptable and not proclaimed as Reigning Sultan by the Royal Datus and the Sharifs of the Sultanate of Sulu and Sabah . He is also not acceptable to the major groups of Sulu. As per his own admission Datu Muedzul-Lail accepted from Stan C. Brandenburg monthly payment of P50,000 and a Starex van, plus an additional P10 million for himself and P2 million for his mother-in-law and P3 million for his stepmother, in exchange for Brandenburg becoming Sulu Prime Minister of Datu Muedzul-Lail, but Brandenburg did not give him a cent and did not fulfill his promise to pay and instead proclaimed Bahjin twice. As a result many Sultanate leaders commented "Datu Muedzul-Lail sold his line to the Royal succession so cheaply which made him incapable and unsuitable to be Sultan of Sulu." Due to this unfit and improper conduct of Datu Muedzul-Lail, he eliminated himself to the rank and title of Sultan.

14. JUAN T. DELA CRUZ (FABRICATING HIMSELF AS AMIR KIRAM) -- Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. Many people are looking for him due to loss of money they gave him as he promised to recover the assets of the late Sultan of Sulu and Sabah in foreign banks but he disappeared. He is not from Sulu.

15. ALAWI MOHAMMAD KARIM alias ALFONSO SAGUN BAUTISTA alias ALAWI JULKARNAIN AZAM KIRAM (FABRICATING HIMSELF A KIRAM) -- Commoner & Outsider. This man is trying to claim the assets of the late Sultan of Sulu and Sabah and now called himself a Kiram.

16. ABDULLAH AZAM ATALAD -- Commoner & Outsider. Not of Royal blood and not a member of the Royal blood line of succession. This man tried to represent himself as the Sultan of Sulu in the U.S. Congress but no one believed him and took him seriously. He lives in Mindoro . He is not from Sulu.

17. and lost but not the least but the most scandalous is Mohammad Fuoad Abdullah Kiram who is disowned by the very people of sulu who claims to be Sultan Foad., One who gets non-Tausugs and non-sulu peoples to assist him because no honorable Tausug wishes to assist him, he claims the Sabah money for himself and has forgotten the peoples of Sulu. A very irresponsible person who does nothing except appoint royal titles to Non tausugs while ignoring the people of Sulu and North Borneo.

              nur misuari mengecam presiden filipina

Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari on Tuesday lambasted President Aquino for his alleged mishandling of the Sabah conflict and warned any attempt to arrest Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III would plunge the country in “total chaos.”
President Aquino in a TV address on Monday spoke about the alleged involvement of former officials in the previous Arroyo administration in the Sabah conflict.
He said he had no evidence yet of this conspiracy and did not give details but news reports have tagged Misuari among the conspirators, along with former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales and several others.
Gonzales denied the reports.
“Does he feel guilty? The President never mentioned anybody. He said that ‘I will not name names until I have sufficient evidence,’” presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda told reporters.
Lacierda said that Justice Secretary Leila de Lima was looking into the role of the personalities in the standoff, and would determine what charges to file against the players and conspirators.

Siding with enemy
“What he has done is very bad. It is unbecoming of a head of state, to be siding with the enemy of his own people,” Misuari told reporters at the house of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III in Taguig City. He arrived as Princess Jacel Kiram, the sultan’s daughter, was wrapping up a press conference.
“And for what reason is he (Aquino) aligning this country with Malaysia, a colonial power occupying the land of our people? I am against that, totally against that with all my soul. I hope the President will be properly advised. I hope he will recant. Otherwise we won’t forgive him,” Misuari said.
“And there is an attempt even to arrest the sultan, I understand. Let them do that. The country will be in total chaos if they do, I promise you.”
Misuari also belied allegations that he “inspired” the Sulu sultanate to sail to Sabah and renew the claim over Sabah, which he described as “our homeland.”
He recalled that he used to cross the seas to go to Sabah as a young man without a passport “because it is our homeland.”

Misuari said that he could not have “inspired” the sultanate to reclaim Sabah now with only some 200 men because “that is not my way of doing things.”
He said that when the MNLF decided to resolve the problem about the Abu Sayyaf’s kidnap-for-ransom trade, around 4,000 MNLF fighters were deployed to face the terrorist group.

MANILA, Philippines—The existence of the “royal army” of the Sultanate of Sulu was first monitored by intelligence units in 2001 and was seemingly a “harmless” group during that time, National Security Adviser Cesar Garcia said Tuesday.
In an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Garcia said initial reports on Sultan Jamalul Kiram III Royal Security Forces revealed that the group held trainings but did not carry firearms. He said it was just like “a group trying to make a statement.”
“Parang harmless naman sila,” Garcia said, noting that Kiram III even ran for a senatorial seat under Team Unity in the 2007 elections.
However, Garcia said that the group went off the intelligence radar in 2005, but it apparently remobilized after “the group didn’t feel that they were given enough participation and role in the framework agreement” between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

Elite US forces backing the RAS militants?Exclusive by BI Investigative TeamHabiba Kiram (right) – how reliable is the FB information?KOTA KINABALU: The ‘invasion of Sabah’ by the militant group calling themselves the Royal Army of Sulu Sultanate (RAS) was apparently planned at least seven months ago.A Facebook message of one of the key RAS officials, Habiba Kiram that was forwarded to the Borneo Insider by a reliable source, also indicated that the group was getting ready to invade Sabah in late November, last year. And Habiba has even implicated the United States elite forces for backing their cause to claim back Sabah. (see attached photo of the Facebook message).Habiba allegedly claimed that they were waiting for the US elite forces to give them the signal and that some 10,000 of its armed men were already in Sabah since seven months ago.(Disclaimer: Borneo Insider has no way of confirming this with any of the United States authorities and we only can go by the remarks made in the Facebook conversation between Habiba and another party). It is understood that the Malaysian intelligence community was said to have been alerted about it sometime in July last year. This came about following information leaked by unknown sources that a key RAS official was raising funds to purchase a sizeable quantity of firearms, including assault rifles, in Bongao, Tawi Tawi, in Philippines.Take note of the messages in the FB grab.Sources close to the Malaysian intelligence community also told Borneo Insider that no one should take the “attempted invasion” lightly, citing that members of the militant group comprised of war-hardened militants who have got nothing to fear or lose.“They (RAS) are determined to claim back Sabah and this attempt (intrusion) is part of their plans to achieve that, so as to create sufficient international attention. They are also planning to bring the matter to the International Court of Justice to file for an official claim of part of their territories in Sabah,” said the source.(DISCLAIMER: The Borneo Insider has absolutely no way of confirming the exact authenticity of the alleged Facebook ‘conversations’ between Habiba and the second party, except to state that the source who gave us the two FB-Grabs claims the ‘conversation’ did take place). This FB grab shows the claim made by Habiba that they are waiting for US forces to give the signal.

March 6, 2013 at 9:53 AMI think the claim that the RAS is backed by the US Military is simply wishful thinking…no propaganda…by the Sultan and his aides. It serves two purposes. First it causes the foolhardy to think that they will have “backing” no matter how insane their efforts. Second, it causes a breach between Malaysia and the US…and perhaps may result in some Americans getting harassed in Sabah or Malaysia.Does anyone think that the MILF/MNLF/Abu Sayaaf fighters that the US Navy has been fighting in these waters since 911 would suddenly be their buddies???An aide to Sultan Jamalul said yesterday that the US “had to” come to the “mutual defense” of the Sultanate based on the 1915 Carpenter Agreement.
Fact: The 1915 Carpenter Agreement actually demilitarized the Sulu Sultan (thus he had no military to “offer mutual aide”). Furthermore it limited his power to an “ecclesiastic role” based on “voluntary contributions”. It dismembered any governmental role, and stripped the Sultanate of sovereignty. There is no clause about coming to the Sultanates defense…because there was no Sultanate after this point. The US would defend “Philippine territory” but then agreed not to pursue any claims in the UK Protectorate of Sabah. This is just blab, blah, blah from the Sultans supporters

SULTAN SULU DAKWA 8 TERTUDUH BUKAN ORANGNYA ???
Are the eight men charged in Malaysia for the intrusion by followers of the sultan of Sulu into Sabah Filipinos or Malaysians?
After condemning on Thursday the filing of charges against the eight as “terroristic,” the Sulu sultanate on Friday disowned the suspects, saying they were not Filipinos but Malaysians.
Abraham Idjirani, spokesman for the sultanate, said the sultanate learned about the “fall guys” from a source in Sabah.
At least one of the eight arraigned at the Tawau High Court on Thursday admitted during the proceedings that he was paid to join the group from Sulu.
The Star newspaper of Malaysia identified the suspect as Holland (spelled “Holan” by Idjirani) Kalbi.
Speaking in court through a Badjao interpreter, Kalbi said he was asked by “someone” to join the group, but did not identify who it was. He also did not say how much he was paid to go with Agbimuddin’s group.
“I was just being foolish,” The Star quoted Kalbi as saying in court.
But Gani said Kalbi’s statement should not be recorded.
The judge reminded Kalbi not to say anything until he has a lawyer.
The SLA is providing legal representation to the eight accused.
Idjirani said Kalbi was one of Jamalul’s followers who were killed in the March 1 “massacre” in Tanduo village in Lahad Datu town.
Idjirani was referring to the police assault on Agbimuddin’s group in which 18, not 10, of Jamalul’s followers were killed.
Idjirani apologized for the earlier body count, which proved to be wrong, he said, because full information was not available at the time.
‘They are Filipinos’
But Syarulnizam Salleh, chair of the human rights subcommittee of the Sabah Lawyers Association (SLA), told the Inquirer by phone on Friday that the eight men charged with launching terroristic acts and waging war against Malaysian King Abdul Halim were Filipinos.
Salleh said he learned about the nationality of the eight men during his meeting with Malaysian Attorney General Gani Patail on Thursday night.
The SLA, however, said in a posting on its website that Malaysian authorities had arrested not only Filipinos but also Malaysians in the security operations to end the intrusion by followers of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III.
The Malaysian authorities have arrested 108 people suspected of links to the Sulu group led by Jamalul’s brother, Agbimuddin Kiram.
But they’re dead
Idjirani reiterated that Kalbi was one of the 18 “martyrs” of Tanduo.
“Now he is one of the eight accused. So what’s this?” Idjirani asked.
Another alleged follower of the Sulu sultanate charged on Wednesday and arraigned on Thursday was identified as Lin Mad Salleh.
But Idjirani said “Ling Mad Salli” (his own spelling) was also one of the 18 Tanduo “martyrs.”
“Have the Malaysians resurrected the two RSF men?” Idjirani asked, using the shorthand for the “Royal Security Forces” of the Sulu sultanate.
“Our basis for saying that they are not Filipinos is that our source from Sabah called us to say they are Malaysians. They are not Filipinos,” Idjirani said.
“To confirm this, they (Malaysian authorities) should divulge where they were caught. If they were caught outside Lahad Datu, they were [Malaysian] civilians,” he said.
“They were set up to make Filipinos afraid, because Malaysian security forces have become abusive because of their internal security act,” he added.
The accused
The eight alleged followers of Sultan Jamalul faced Judge P. Ravinthran of the Tawau High Court on Thursday to be arraigned of the charges brought by the Malaysian authorities against them the day before.
Kalbi, Salleh, Habil Suhaili and Timhar Hadir are accused of launching acts of terrorism in Sabah. They face life imprisonment on conviction.
Atik Hussein Abu Bakar and Basad H. Manuel are also accused of terrorism as well as waging war against the Malaysian king. If convicted, they will be sentenced to death.
Kadir Uyung and Lating Tiong are accused of harboring a terrorist group, and face life imprisonment. They were arrested on that charge in Tanjung Labian on March 4, a day before the Malaysian military launched air and ground operations to crush Agbimuddin’s group.
No plea was entered for the eight accused following an application by Attorney General Gani, who led the team of prosecutors.
The charges are nonbailable.
Gani told the court that though only two of the accused faced charges that carried the death penalty, the prosecution would see to it that all eight would have legal representation in the interest of human rights.
He said he had discussed legal representation for the accused with the SLA and the Bar Council of Malaysia.
Salleh of the SLA confirmed earlier information received by the Inquirer that some of the accused were placed in straitjackets.
Straitjackets for security
Gani applied to the court for the procedure and Justice Ravinthran granted his application “for security reasons,” according to a copy of the court proceedings obtained by the Inquirer.
Ravinthran subsequently ordered the trial of the eight accused to start on April 12.
Gani said some of the accused would be jointly tried while individual hearings would be held for others, as they were arrested at different places or time.
Of the eight accused, one is under 19 years old. Some are Badjao and others are Orang Suluk or Tausug.
In a statement issued Friday, the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur said it welcomed Gani’s assurance that the eight Filipinos would be given legal assistance.
The embassy and Salleh of the SLA said they were coordinating with each other for legal representation for the accused.
Mopping up operations
Mopping up operations continued in Lahad Datu Friday to clear the villages of Agbimuddin’s men.
Malaysian authorities said 68 members of Agbimuddin’s group had been killed in fighting since March 1.
But Idjirani said that by the sultanate’s reckoning, only 26 of the 235 members of Agbimuddin’s group had been killed. Four were wounded and 10 were arrested, he said.
Idjirani identified the 10 he earlier reported as killed in Tanduo as Kalbi, Salli, Ibrahim Suhudah, Junaidi Harain, Adulkader Jumaadil, Hawadi Jumaadil, Tar Undang, Sangkahan Ajan, and Datu and Mrs. Maharajah Sabandal.
He did not identify the eight others whose deaths in the police assault the sultanate learned about only later.
Other losses
In addition to the 18 killed in Tanduo on March 1, Idjirani said four were killed during the air and artillery attacks on March 5, and two others were killed later because they shielded Agbimuddin from soldiers’ fire.

POLIS MALAYSIA KENAL PASTI SUSPEK KOMANDER
                                    TENTERA YANG DITANGKAP

DAVAO CITY – The Malaysian police on Sunday released the identity of the Sulu “royal army” commander, who was captured in Semporna district on Saturday, amid speculations in Sabah he could be Agbimuddin Kiram.
Malaysian police deputy chief Khalid Abu Bakar told a Sabah-based radio station that the arrested commander was Amirbahar Hushin Kiram, 50.
Amirbahar was arrested with his wife, Gina Teves, 47, at a marshy area in Kampung Sri Melor Bugaya around 1:30 a.m. Saturday following a tip-off, Khalid said.
He said seized from the couple were various items such as mobile phones, a money transfer card, cash amounting to over RM3,000 and various documents.
But Khalid would still not name the two other suspects, who were earlier arrested, except for saying one of them was the son of a former Tanduo village chief, who has Filipino ancestry.
He said the arrested suspects would be charged with terrorism and rebellion, or abetting these two acts, before the courts.
Khalid also said the latest arrests had brought to 408 the number of people taken into police custody under Operasi Daulat and over 100 of them were being directly linked to the Feb. 9 Sabah intrusion by the “royal army.”
Since Ops Daulat was launched on March 5, Malaysian security officials said 63 suspected Sulu gunmen had already been killed while the Malaysian side suffered 10 deaths – eight of them policemen.
Out of the number of slain gunmen, Khalid said 38 bodies had been retrieved.
For more than a week now, the Sulu gunmen had not launched any attack against Malaysian security forces on Sabah and the recent skirmishes were prompted by Malaysian ground operation.
Khalid said the main reason was that the “Sulu terrorists” had become leaderless with the arrest of Amirbahar, the death of Commander Musa more than two weeks ago, and when Agbimuddin fled to the Philippines.
But Agbimuddin’s son-in-law, Danilo Datu Abdullah Virtudazo told the Philippine Daily Inquirer in Cagayan de Oro City that the Sulu “royal army” – or what remains of it – was in defensive stance in deference to a ceasefire declared by Sultan Jamalul Kiram III based on a recent letter of appeal from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
“The sultanate respected the call for ceasefire but Malaysia did not,” Virtudazo, who is married to Agbimuddin’s fourth daughter, Dayang Mura Napsa, said.
For Malaysian Defense Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the lack of aggressiveness on the side of Agbimuddin’s men might have been brought about by the fact that their number had been greatly reduced with the high death toll and arrests, their being leaderless, or because they had feared about not getting paid anymore.
“We received similar feedback from the Philippine government that the armed men were paid to carry out the attacks in Sabah,” Ahmad was quoted by state-run Radio 24 as saying on Saturday.
Malaysian Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said his agency was working closely with Philippine intelligence agencies, such as the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (Nica), in gathering facts behind the Sabah intrusion.
As Malaysia continues to clamp down on the “royal army,” a descendant of the Sulu royal house – Prof. Rita Tuban of the state-run University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City – urged Sulu royals to retry the diplomatic way of settling the Sabah claim.
Tuban traces her ancestry from Sultan Jamalul Kiram I (reigned 1823-1842) and is known among Tausugs as Princess Jamala-Rah II.
She said a meeting among Sulu royals should be facilitated by the government so that any peaceful solution agreed would be acceptable to all.
“I think it should be the government to call all the members of the sultanate, just to represent the houses, to unite them in whatever decision they will arrived at on the Sabah claim,” she said.
Prof. Julkipli Wadi of the University of the Philippines had also said during a forum on the Sabah issue, which was organized by Universiti Malaya, on Friday was quoted by state-run media Berita Nasional Malaysia as saying that Malaysia and the Philippines should find ways to immediately resolve the Sabah issue as it could create a larger problem, especially if a third party steps in.
Also speaking during the same forum, Romel Bagares, director of the Manila-based Center for International Law (CenterLaw), warned that the Sabah crisis will eventually have “adverse impacts on security…of the Asean region as a whole.”
“If it escalates, it will not be a Malaysia-Philippines issue anymore. It will cause power imbalance and instability in the region. This is something Asean does not want to happen,” Bagares was quoted as saying.
Prof. Mohamad Abu Bakar, head of the International and Strategic Studies at Universiti Malaya, said in settling the issues, Malaysia and the Philippines should also involve the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the heirs of the sultanate of Sulu.
Malacañang has made it clear that the Philippine government will bring the country’s Sabah claim before an international arbiter if evidence could support claims the disputed territory indeed belongs to the Philippines.
Malaysian historian Dr. Khoo Kay Kim said this was welcome development but said he was optimistic that “Malaysia would win the case, based on historical records and evidence which clearly showed that Sabah belonged to Malaysia.”
“All records are in our favor,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
But Malaysian historian Dr. Ranjit Singh, a professor emeritus at the Universiti Utara Malaysia, disagreed on the idea to involve the ICJ over the Sabah issue saying there was no need for Malaysia to argue its case before the international court.
“Apart from historical facts, the Sulu Sultanate and the Philippines had in fact lost their sovereignty rights of Sabah to Malaysia based on the principle of effectivity,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
He said the sultanate has not ruled over Sabah since 1878 until its demise. The Philippines has no basis to claim the territory either because it was never a Sabah administrator.

On 16th July 2012, Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim flew to Jakarta to meet Nur Misuari -- who is very close to Anwar since the days when Anwar was in the government -- and the military commanders of the MNLF. The meeting was held in the Crowne Plaza Jakarta hotel and was arranged by an Indonesian Member of Parliament -- another close friend of Anwar -- at the behest of Anwar. A second meeting was held in Manila on 4th August 2012 to finalise and seal the agreement.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
I wrote about this matter eight years ago back in 2005. However, many of you were probably not yet readers of Malaysia Today in 2005 so you most likely did not read what I wrote then.
For those of you who can remember what I wrote, it was a very long story indeed but basically it was about the links between the Muslim leaders in the Malaysian government and the Muslim leaders in the Philippines and the role that Malaysia played in the ‘internal affairs’ of the Philippines.
Most Malaysians do not understand the difference with Sulus, MNLF, MILF and Abu Sayyaf -- as they do not know the difference between the PLO and Hamas. Nevertheless, let me simplify it by saying that they are all merely splinter or rival groups of the Muslims in the Philippines who are seeking self-determination, just like the Palestinians in the Middle East are. And Malaysia, being a Muslim country, sympathises with the Muslims of the Philippines -- as it does with the Muslims of Southern Thailand -- and is helping in any way it can to resolve both the Philippines and Southern Thailand issues.
Along the way, however, something went wrong. As I had written in 2005, certain promises were made that were not delivered. And this has a bearing on the Sabah ‘IC issue’ (you do not need a RCI for me to tell you that). And that resulted in the Sipidan hostage crisis and the involvement of Libya in helping to eventually resolve the crisis after many months of deadlock.
A reported RM50 million changed hands to secure the release of the hostages, the cost which Libya underwrote. Of course, no one is going to admit to this although they will not be able to explain how and why the hostages were eventually released.
But all that happened decades ago. We are talking about the start of the crisis in 1970, when many of you were not even born yet, and the hostage crisis 30 years later in 2000. Since then everything has been very quiet -- that is until last year when this whole thing was resurrected in preparation for the coming general election.
And this was what happened recently.
Anwar's and Nur Miusari's links go way back to the time Anwar was in government
On 16th July 2012, Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim flew to Jakarta to meet Nur Misuari -- who is very close to Anwar since the days when Anwar was in the government -- and the military commanders of the MNLF. The meeting was held in the Crowne Plaza Jakarta hotel and was arranged by an Indonesian Member of Parliament -- another close friend of Anwar -- at the behest of Anwar.
A second meeting was held in Manila on 4th August 2012 to finalise and seal the agreement. Anwar flew to Manila on flight MH 704 and if you were to check these flight details you can confirm that Anwar did make this trip, as he did the trip to Jakarta just two weeks or so earlier.

In that meeting, Anwar told Misuari that he needs the latter’s help to win the coming general election. Pakatan Rakyat was confident of winning at least 82-85 of the 165 seats in West Malaysia. It was the 57 seats in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan that he was not confident of winning.
Pakatan Rakyat needs to win at least 30 of those 57 East Malaysian seats to be able to form the federal government with an extremely slim but comfortable enough majority. (Anwar can always increase this majority later with crossovers from Barisan Nasional once they form the government). And for that to happen Anwar needs the support of the Muslims in East Malaysia, in particular in Sabah, many of them Filipino Muslims with Malaysian citizenship and voting rights.
Anwar promised Misuari that in the event Pakatan Rakyat takes over the federal government, Sabah and Sarawak would be given autonomy, as what they had been fighting for over 42 years since 1970. These two East Malaysian states would also be given 20% oil royalty, an increase of 15% from the current 5%. This would ensure that these two states would become very wealthy -- an estimated RM4 billion a year for each state.
Furthermore, all the non-Malaysian Filipinos in East Malaysia would be given Malaysian citizenship -- or at the very minimum permanent resident status -- so that they could seek employment in Sabah. Jobs for them will also be assured.

Nur Misuari agreed to these terms and subsequently appointed Haji Ibrahim Omar as the MNLF coordinator or ‘unofficial ambassador’ to Sabah to help Anwar garner the support of the Filipino Muslims in that state.
And that was why the Malaysian government hesitated to take drastic action when trouble first emerged in Lahad Datu. The government knew that there was more than meets the eye in this whole episode although it was not too clear yet at that time how this incident fit in to the bigger scheme of things.
To leave things alone is certainly out of the question. But taking military action would only play into the hands of the conspirators and convince the Filipino Muslims in Sabah that they must unite behind Anwar to gain autonomy from the federal government.
Yes, the Lahad Datu incident was certainly a ‘wayang’, as the opposition claims. Very few Malaysians would deny that this is so. Many Malaysians are also convinced that there are certain ‘dalang’ behind this incident. What they do not know is: who is the dalang? Well, Malaysia Today has just revealed the untold story and I challenge the Malaysian government to deny the authenticity of what I have just revealed.
Another point to consider is whether the ‘war of words’ between the MNLF and MILF is another wayang. By perpetuating this conflict, which will result in the torpedoing of the peace process, this gives them an excuse for continuing the armed conflict. However, the relationship between the MNLF and the other splinter groups does not appear as ruptured as what it shows behind the scenes, if the above photograph is anything to go by.
My conclusion to this whole thing is that there are many plots and sub-plots and at the end of the day we really do not know who is playing whom.
