'Gate to hell' dug up in Turkey 
The mythical -- and, let's face it, horrifying -- "gate to hell" has finally been discovered in a cave in Turkey. (Google Maps)

It's a discovery that seems like it was lifted right from the script of the next George A. Romero movie. The mythical -- and, let's face it, horrifying -- "gate to hell" has finally been discovered in a cave in Turkey.
According to Greek and Roman legend, the so-called portal to the underworld was said to be "full of a vapor so misty and dense that one can scarcely see the ground."
"Any animal that passes inside meets instant death," wrote Stabo, the ancient Greek geographer. As it turns out, the legends were at least partially true.
While it might not actually be a gateway to the afterworld, the cave in the Ruins of Hierapolis does emit poisonous gases, according to the dig's lead archaeologist.
“We could see the cave's lethal properties during the excavation," Francesco D'Andria told Discovery News. "Several birds died as they tried to get close to the warm opening, instantly killed by the carbon monoxide fumes."
The archaeologist also found other remains that match ancient descriptions: a temple, a pool and a series of steps placed above the cave, where the gate is located.
“People could watch the sacred rites from these steps, but they could not get to the area near the opening. Only the priests could stand in front of the portal,” D'Andria told Discovery.
The supposed door to Satan's home -- also known as Pluto's gate -- was destroyed by the Christians in the sixth century. D'Andria and his team say they are now working on a digital reconstruction of the site.

pergi balik adult dlm 4k plus bro sorang. bawak anak2 5 org.. gedebuk gedebak aku spend dlm 20k. aku tak ikut tour, tak syiok sbb masa terbatas. aku pi sendiri je., tapi wife la settlekan hotel booking semua, aku tukang bayaq ja. cuma kena sediakan tip ler skit utk drebar taxi. mcm aku, samapi 2 taxi sbb keluarga besar. rezeki anak2 bro, periksa cemerlang so aku bawak jalan2 tgk negeri org. pernah pi time honeymoon dulu, tapi time tuh murah lg. |

oh ada member cakap van tuh lagik mahal.. tapi betul gak kan.. van..semua sekali hangkut. mudah skit. so kau pi europe sekali la ni? aku takleh enjut2 sgt, kang budak2 nih kurang motivasi nak belajo  itupon sbb cut sekolah tgh tahun nih nak ke Krabi.

Aku cuti sekolah blm 5 ni gi Bangkok & Pataya dgn family. Bulan lepas gi New Zealand 15 hari. Yg ke Turkey aku nak include Europe psl ada kwn kat Germany & Switzerland. Durang ni ex-colleague aku. Aku dulu kerja company Swiss. So mana tau durang sudi ksh aku tmpt tinggal. Yg ni family tak ikut. Gi sendiri je. |

Bukan bujang tp berdua je laki bini. Blm ada anak. Yg gi bangkok ni aku bawa adik2, ipar duai & anak2 durang suma gi ramai2 meriahkan Bangkok dgn Pattaya. hahahahh!! Yg Turkey/Europe tu, jalan sendiri coz more nak jumpa kwn lama so lbh flexible nak tidur kat mana. Mgkn dari Munich ke Salzburg then ke Zurich aku overnite dlm train nak jimat accommodation. Dok hostel ramai2. Senang sket. Yg kat Turkey tu aku blh self drive. Takde masalah. |

Isteri aku suka sgt ikut tour sbb tour guide ada cerita-ceriti pasal sesuatu tempat.
Pastu dari satu tempat ke satu tempat lebih senang sebab ada bas sendiri. Tiada masa terbuang utk dptkan teksi, atau tunggu LRT dgn bas awam.

Ada beberapa tmpt diwajibkan perlu ada guide. Mcm aku tour ke Glacier Explorer, Hobbition, Glowworm Caves di New Zealand. Tp guide hanya tunggu kat tmpt point tu, ko ada pilihan nak amik join tour durang with pick up from your hotel or ko blh self drive ke pick up point. So takdelah mcm rombongan cik kiah |
