Remember Age of Feeling? I’m happy to have the period action melodrama back in headlines now that it’s courting a new hero—this time in Kim Hyun-joong (Playful Kiss, Boys Before Flowers). Maybe third time will be the charm in scoring a lead?This is a show that always sounded really cool—action and romance in 1930s Shanghai, amidst the Japanese Occupation and expats in China. On the shallowest level available, think of the nifty fashions and hairstyles and period sets. I’m still looking forward to the show, though admittedly the longer it takes for production to pull together, the more things there are that give me pause. First off, if they get Kim Hyun-joong signed on—he is considering the offer, with no decisions reported—it’ll be the third actor they’ve tried to get. Granted, just because an actor chose against a drama doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it, but once a show has a hard time getting on a schedule and two stars pass, you start to wonder. First, the show sought to cast Lee Jun-ki in the lead, but Lee chose instead to go with the MBC thriller Two Weeks. Then it was Kwon Sang-woo’s turn, but he has since confirmed with MBC’s Medical Top Team. Maybe MBC just has a really good recruiting process?This may be a good way for Kim Hyun-joong to get back into the acting swing of things after his last drama, City Conquest, failed to get picked up, especially since his variety program Barefoot Friends is floundering. On the other hand, Kim Hyun-joong… is not my first choice for this drama. Or second. Or third. I’m willing to keep an open mind about the possibility that he’ll be better in the future than he has been in the past—but that doesn’t mean I can ignore how he’s been in the past.KBS has finally settled on a fall timeslot for Age of Feeling, with an eye toward a November broadcast as a Wednesday-Thursday drama. Also: For some reason Kim Hyun-joong threads have a way of turning into minefields. I would really, really like for this one to stay sane. Don’t make me go over there.Via Star News

Inspiring Generation, the manhwa-based drama set in 1930′s Shanghai, China about love, friendship and patriotism has been postponed to January and its November time slot has now been taken by Jang Geun Suk’sBeautiful Man.Apparently, a combination of casting problems (both Lee Jun Ki and Kwon Sang Woo passed on the lead role) and shooting delays in China have led to the postponement.The drama which also stars Kim So Eun and Im Soo Hyang is expected to air on KBS2. Wishing them lots of luck.

Shanghai Media Group (SMG) pledged its full support for the filming (the drama) in China.
KBS 2TV Wed/Thur miniseries 'Age of Feelings' (Script Chae Seung Dae/ Lee Yun Hwan, Director Kim Jung Kyu, Production Company Ray&Mo) has been confirmed that it will air in next January.
'Age of Feelings', portraying Korea-China-Japan's romantic gangsters set in 1930's Shanghai, is the most anticipated KBS drama of 2014 and a mega project, total 15 billion won's production cost will be invested into.
Since the drama's main background is Shanghai, there are huge outdoor sets preparing in China. The effort of the crew and cast to make the higher quality drama is expected to gain momentum by its air schedule confirmed, despite the tight schedule.
Now the production company Ray&Mo has determined to join hands with Shanghai Media Group (SMG) in order to film in China, also the filming will begin next month. It is said that Shanghai Media Group (SMG) which is one of the biggest companies in the field in Shanghai, China, has guaranteed to provide full support for the filming in general like permissions from the local.
The cast also agreed to make the drama higher quality rather than make its air date sooner since they felt the filming schedule would be delayed because of the oversea filming and preparations.
Since the drama has been confirmed to air in January, 'Age of Feelings' cast and crew made a fresh start and put themselves into the drama filming with enthusiasm to bring a higher quality drama for the viewers.
'Age of Feelings' is an emotional romantic noir, portraying 1930's Korea-China-Japan's romantic gangsters' love, fidelity, and friendship with large-scale and amazing action scenes.
KBS 2TV Wed/Thur miniseries 'Age of Feelings' is scheduled to air in next January.

- Based on the comic series "Age of Feeling" by Bang Hak-Ki (published by daily newspaper Sports Seoul from June, 1985 to June, 1988)
- First script reading takes place August 7, 2013 in the office for production company "Golden Pine".
- "Age of Feeling" was originally scheduled to air beginning in November, 2013, but due to the extensive overseas filming, the series has been postponed to January, 2013.

KBS2 New Drama `Age of Feelings` changed its producer 2 months ahead of broadcst schedule.
According to KBS Broadcast Officials “ `Age of Feelings` producer has been changed from `Golden Pine` to ` Ray & Mo.`“
KBS Drama Director Lee Kang Hyun stated today (Sept. 3rd) “`Ray & Mo` had recently acquired the rights to produce `Age of Feelings`“
`Age of Feelings` will start its first filming on the middle of September and will proceed after to Shanghai, Wuxi, Cheonyang and other overseas location on October.
