People from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia cross the border on a regular basis. Kuwait however, is ahead in terms of women rights. Women in the country are allowed to drive, vote, and run for political office. In Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed to drive, travel abroad, open a bank account, or work without permission from a male relative. On per capita GDP basis, Kuwait is the second wealthiest Muslim state in the world, only after Qatar, with foreigners making up 64% of its demographics. In Qatar the share of foreign expats is even higher at 80% while the United Arab Emirates 87%. Together, these three are the richest countries in the Middle East.

Sheikh Saleh Al-Loheidan, a prominent Saudi cleric, warned in September that women who drive cars could cause damage to their ovaries and pelvises, and that they are at risk of having children born with clinical problems. "If a woman drives a car, it could have a negative physiological impact. Medical studies show that it would automatically affect a woman's ovaries and that it pushes the pelvis upward. We find that for women who continuously drive cars, their children are born with varying degrees of clinical problems." Al-Loheidan told Saudi news website SABQ that time. He did not provide evidence to his arguments.

Most Saudi scholars and religious authorities have declared women driving haram (forbidden). Commonly given reasons for the prohibition on women driving include; driving a car involves uncovering the face; driving a car may lead women to go out of the house more often; driving a car may lead women to have interaction with non-mahram males, for example at traffic accidents; women driving cars may lead to overcrowding the streets and many young men may be deprived of the opportunity to drive; and driving would be the first step in an erosion of traditional values, such as gender segregation.

Women are generally discouraged from using public transport. They have limited access to bus and train services, and where it is allowed, they must use a separate entrance and sit in a back section reserved for women, though bus companies with the widest coverage in Riyadh and Jeddah do not allow women at all. Earlier this year, Saudi women were allowed to ride bicycles for the first time, although only around parks and other "recreational areas". Also in 2013, the Saudi government sanctioned sports for girls in private schools for the first time.


Saudi clerics warn that women who engage in sports may risk losing their virginity

Saudi girls go to private schools in order to escape the "harsh restrictions" of government schools, where sports and physical education (P.E.) lessons are of a very low priority. This is because Saudi clerics believe that allowing women to engage in sports would cause them to lose their virginity. For instance, Sheikh Abdullah al-Maneea, a member of the official Supreme Council of Religious Scholars, the top religious organization in Saudi Arabia, issued a verdict saying: "Football and basketball are sports that require a lot of movement and jumping, such excessive movement may harm girls who are still virgins, possibly causing them to lose their virginity."

Muhammad al-Habdan, a Saudi religious book author, warned that if schools hold P.E. lessons for girls, they would have to change into workout gear, which by rights they should not disrobe outside their homes. Changing in a locker room might cause them to lose the shyness that is the hallmark of good morals, he warned. al-Habdan went on to say that the girls might become attracted to each other and engage in homosexual behaviors after seeing their classmates in tight leotards and tops, and this can led to moral catastrophe in the holy land.

Ummah erab sunni wal jamaah syumul lagi, kenapalah sampai nak drive menolong orang pun tak boleh? habistu nak biar orang tu mampos? Mentang2 lah kalau ahlil sunni mampos hujung2 ahlil sorga jugak mati syahid. Yang tak logiknya kalau perempuan bawak kereta, perempuan akan selalu keluar rumah dan intouch with bukan muhrim, dah ulama erab ni bodoh kenapa? Kalau perempuan tu gatai bijik nak keluar rumah dan berjumpa jantan, dia akan keluar jugak. Baik ummah erab ni duduk padang pasir sajalah, kenderaan pun tak payah nak lamborghini pelbagai, naik unta atau kuda saja, selayaknyalah. Tak pasal2 kalau duduk arab, mak sakit, terus mampos macamtu jah.

bila ko nikkah bukan soal celop menjadi isu tp tanggungjawab dan apa yg menjaid hak ..

tp kalau ko xpernah ada kena-mengena dgn Islam khasnya ,baik ko membabikan diri ko ke hutan...

sebab hukum rimba yg hidup bagai binatang tu lebih afdhol utk tolol sial semcm ko.

busuknya hati ko , penuh kekejian ,nista dan neraka sgt.

bapa dia akan hempuk kereta itu ke muka pengadlan dna memaksa mrk mengemukakan hukum Allah yg manakah yg mengharamkan wanita memandu dan hadith apakah yg mensyaratkan wanita itu xdibenarkan memandu....
