"Rebadging" - Penjelasan - Baik ke Tak?

I terpikir nak selitkan artikel nie dalam posting Accordana, tapi terpikir jugak yang tak masuk baca nanti miss pulak.
Dalam kita syiok bantai atau support Proton, cuba la renung cerita sebalik rebadging / celup nie. Nie bukan baru..tetatpi dah lama ada. Saga pertama thaun 1985 tu Mitsubishi Lancer, lepas tu dapat Wira yg jugak Lancer. Perdana awal Mitsubishi Galant. Lepas tu, perodua pulak start dengan Daihatsu Mira and Toyota Passo. Kita orang tak le kisah sangat dulu.
Sekarang banyak yang bising. Rebadging bukan baru, dan bukan Proton dan Perodua saja yang buat. Aston Martin pun amik Toyota IQ jadi Aston Martin Cygnet.

Betul bang Bell. RnD memang terlalu tinggi so bagi sesetengah pengeluar kereta yang ingin bersaing dalam kategori tertentu dimana permintaan mungkin tidak seberapa tinggi, platform sharing memang munasabah.
Yang terbaik, ialah penggalakkan pengetahuan mendalam dan pemindahan teknologi baru. So, kalau kita mendalami artikel pasal proton perdana baru ni, Proton akan melanjutkan development perdana baru dimana model untuk pasala akan keluar dalam dua tahun lagi. Ini yang bagus.
Ingat, Hyundai masa start dudlu pakai teknologi Mitsubishi manakala Kia pula pakai teknologi Mazda. P |

I don't understand this rebadging concept by Proton. Just look at the car, it's so identical to the previous generation Accord. I mean, Proton should have done more than just minor cosmetic changes.
I look at it and I still see a Honda Accord.

Actually this is the time for Proton to start new platform for higher end line with new modern design, since we do not have our our flagship car. Both top end cars, Perdana and Inspira are purely copycat. If this yr we copycat accord, next few yrs we copycat Camry, then next few yrs we copycat Peugeot, pas tu Nissan..there is no feel of driving our own car..Successful car co innovate..not simply rebadging...not good for long term ...we are more confident driving the brand's car..rather than rebadge car |

thats why hopefully a collaboration with honda, proton will cedok all the technology and knowledge to built a bigger segment car. before this mitsubishi is not giving a permission to transfer technology. and now the opportunity is there to do so with honda.
btw, this perdana is not a production unit for malaysian yet. wait until 2015 and there will be few changes on perdana. current new perdana is projek nak cepat siap by government.

i think every year we wait...and wait..and wait..they have been talking about new partnership long time back, with peugeot, vw, mitsubishi, honda, next not sure which co. With 30 yrs experience as car manufacturer, proton is well known for low cost car...people want to see good quality cars, nowadays people have better purchasing power esp on mid to upper range segment... |

celup ke tidak,rasanya yang banyak bunyi tu kadang2 di mulut saja,tapi hati kata mau,mau,mau tapi malu...btw,proton patut pelbagaikan jenis kereta yakni sedan,kompak,mpv serta mula mengeluarkan van,pickup,lori dan bas....apa yang penting kualiti dan design mesti menarik...kereta kalu berkualiti pun tapi kalu design hampes takde juga orang nak beli...design cantik tapi kalu kualiti hancur pun tak laku jugak...jadi kedua2 aspek ni penting...dan ketiga harga,sila letak harga yang berpatutan |

Economic of scale tak cukup beb. Market for D segment is not as big as B or C segement. RnD now costs billions! If DRB is willing to pump money for new completely new flatform then it is a different story. Tapi siapa yg mahu when the ROI looks so bleak almost zero.

x payah nak keluarkan lori and bas sume tu, tu dah kira diff segment, concentrate keluarkan kereta and mpv yg berkualiti je....org skrg lebih memilih sbb byk pilihan..takut lama2 proton tertinggal and tak releven |

2016 - industri automotive Australia dijangka akan lenyap. See the similarity with Malaysia - the domestic market is too small.

yeah true bro..few car manufactures like ford and mitsubishi kat aust dah nak stop prod..gm stop producing holden from 2017 onwards and move to thailand
