Controversial prince consort celebrates his 80th birthday in private
He has paid the price for being open and insisting on being themselves, despite the public role. Prince Henrik of Denmark celebrates the birthday Wednesday in his original homeland France.

After public commemoration of the 80 anniversary of Denmark, including a gala performance and exhibition on Prince Consort life, this celebration is dimmed and private.
