PULAU PINANG jadi bandaraya!!!

Penang's application for city council status approved
GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) will soon be known as the Penang Island City Council (MPPP) following the approval of the application by the cabinet.
Penang Local Government and Traffic Management Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said that the approval was made known to the state government via a letter from the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry dated Dec 10.
He added on Tuesday that the upgrading to a city council status would now require the King's consent for it to be officially established.
George Town was the first town in the country to achieve city status when Queen Elizabeth II conferred it the status in 1957 but when the George Town City Council merged with the Penang Rural District Council to become the Penang Island Municipal Council in the 1970s, it lost the city status. |

Antara yg popular ialah Johor bahru, ipoh, kuching dan kuala terengganu
Lagi senarai leh tgk ka ...
dan yg x berapa nak layak masuk list Bandaraya adalah Alor Setar dan Miri......
yg btol2 gah sebagai bandaraya plak aku nampak KL, PJ, JB, dan Georgetown laaa......
yg catching up plak adalah Kuching, Melaka,Shah Alam dan KK

Yawn,pulau pinang nak dapat 2-3 bandaraya pun bukan masalah la, hanya politik saja yg tak iktiraf ma, who cares...
Miri bandaraya...prrrfff, baik kata malaysia semua tempat dah jadi bandaraya |

Georgetown, bayan baru, seberang jaya...
Butterworth tak layak sgt la, tapi kalau ikut standard miri atau alor star, no problem |
