Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas or Perfect Vengeance (international title) is a Filipino drama television series created and developed by Denoy Navarro Punio and produced by GMA Network. The series is premiered on September 9, 2013 replacing Mundo Mo'y Akin on the network's coveted primetime block, and on September 10, 2013 worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV. It headlines Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Cesar Montano, Charee Pineda, Liza Lorena, Gary Estrada, Solenn Heussaff and Gloria Romero. The series is under the helm of Laurice Guillen, and Meann P. Regala serves as the executive producer for the entire run of the show. The series concluded on December 27, 2013 it slated sixteen week with the total of seventy nine episodes it will be replaced by Rhodora X on its timeslot.
The forty five-minute scripted drama tells the story of Lovelia Villacorta (played by Poe), a woman who turns vengeful against the people who wronged her and will prove that she deserves equal rights and love like the rest, even if she were born out of wedlock.
SYNOPSIS
1-5 "The Beginning"
While worked as a servant in the Villacorta household, Emma Ignacio (played by Ina Feleo) finds herself falling in love with her master's son Roel, a happy-go-lucky womanizer. When he got her pregnant, Señora Beatrice—who is very against Emma for her son Roel—gets Emma arrested for a fabricated crime. Roel strikes a deal with her, promises to help but on the condition that she would stay away from his life. Left with no choice, Emma agreed. This dim chapter in her life turns into a joy as she gives birth to a beautiful baby girl. Emma promises to raise her child with unconditional love and gives her the name Lovelia. Several years later, Lovelia is diagnosed of having a congenital heart defect. Emma believes that she has only one choice to save the life of her beloved daughter—and that is to abandon her at the doorstep of the Villacortas.
6-10 "Just Like A Precious Pearl"
Lovelia's life suddenly changed when she is forced to live with her rich, father Roel. She easily gets along with him, but not with her grandmother Beatrice, who still sees and treats her like dirt. Years later... Lovelia grew up to be a beautiful and intelligent young lady. She is now the creative director of her family's jewelry company, "Empress Jewels". During her hard times, Atty. Conrad Alperos—who compares Lovelia to a precious pearl—becomes her crying shoulder and the two develop a close friendship. In the mean time, Lovelia crosses paths with Jerry, who poses as a rich guy "Gerald"; and Agatha, her former step-sister. Agatha asks for forgiveness from Lovelia for maltreating her when they were still little children. Lovelia forgives her, not knowing Agatha—along with Jerry/Gerald—has deceitful plans for her and her father Roel.
11-15 "Deception Begins"
Agatha and Jer have already set their plans in motion. Agatha lures Roel into her trap, while Jerry, on the other hand, slowly wins Lovelia's trust. In an encounter with Beatrice, Cristina boasts that her son has much better taste than Roel in choosing a girlfriend since Conrad's girlfriend, Jade is rich, class and beautiful. This makes Beatrice very mad as she really doesn't like Agatha for Roel and she sees her as a golddigger. Conrad also warns Lovelia about Gerald/Jerry, saying that the latter doesn't look trustworthy. But both Roel and Lovelia won't listen to the advice given to them.
16-19 "The One Who Will Take Care of Lovelia's Heart"
While Agatha is very much optimistic about their schemes, Jerry, on the other hand, is half-hearted to continue as he started to like Lovelia. At the "Metro Fashion Week" event, Beatrice gets very angry when Roel brings Agatha as his date. She once again insults Agatha and asks her to stay away from her son. Meanwhile, after dating several times, Lovelia begins to realize her feelings for Gerald/Jerry. In the meantime, Conrad hired an investigator to investigate Gerald, much to Lovelia's dismay. Jenny (played by Glenda Garcia) asks Lovelia about the real score between her and Gerald; advised her to choose "the right one who will take good care of her heart." In the meantime, Agatha plays hard to get to Roel. When Roel gives her expensive jewelry, she turns them down; tells him that "she is not a cheap girl he can play around with. She prefers a man who will just remain to be faithful to her". Because of this, Roel gets to admire her even more, thinking she is sincere and not having an inkling that it is just a ploy to hook him even more.
20-24 "For the Love of Money"
Lovelia's world crashes down upon learning the real condition of her heart, and that she needs to undergo heart transplant as soon as possible time. Roel, on the other hand, proudly reveals to Conrad that he has found the "right woman" — Agatha, and he wants nothing more than to marry her, regardless the opposition of his mother, Beatrice. Meanwhile, after sharing an intimate time together, Agatha urges Jerry to pursue Lovelia, so that they could easily acquire the Villacorta's wealth. But Jerry refuses; tells her that even if he is a swindler, he still has conscience and he could not find it in his heart to defrauds a dying woman. This angers Agatha; leads her to betray Jerry.
25-29 "Last Chance"
Lovelia elopes with Jerry, claiming to love him very much and she just wants to be happy before she dies because of her defective heart. The couple settles down in an unfurnished apartment after Roel and Beatrice send Lovelia away from home. Conrad expresses his apprehension about everything that has been happening to Lovelia, especially the marriage to Jerry. He calls up Lovelia to tell her not to hesitate to contact him in case she needs his help. Soon after, Lovelia gets pregnant and the doctor advised her to abort the baby because of her heart condition. In the meantime, Roel defies his mother, Beatrice and takes home Agatha who he plans to marry because she claims to be also pregnant. Complications arise when Jerry and Lovelia also came to live in the same mansion as Roel and Agatha.
30-34 "Complications Arise"
Jerry is sad that Lovelia lost their baby that she's carrying in her womb – and because of her miscarriage, her heart condition gets even worse. They now live in the same mansion with Roel and Agatha. In the meantime, Beatrice continues to show her dislike for Agatha knowing she is a gold digger. When she sees Agatha physically hurting Lovelia, she pushes Agatha away and tells her to leave the mansion. But Agatha tells Roel that she is pregnant with their own child!
35-39 "Roel's Tragic End"
Jerry gets jealous upon learning that Agatha is pregnant. But the latter tells Jerry that he is actually the father of her child and not Roel. Roel catches Agatha and Jerry in the act of kissing each other. Shocked and dismay, Roel leaves the mansion and calls up Conrad, tells him that he needs somebody to rely on. Upon Conrad's arrival, he sees Roel lying lifeless and full of blood. He immediately brings him to the hospital. Beatrice believes it was Conrad who shot Roel. Several days later, as Roel wakes up from deep sleep, he saw Agatha and it triggers a convulsion and dies eventually. Meanwhile, Conrad is set free because of lack of evidence that will connect him to the crime.
