Due to popular demand, i open this thread. I'm welcoming muslims and whoever has indepth knowledge in Islam to provide me with Quranic verses, testifying that Muhammad did indeed claimed to be a prophet for Islam and being a prophet is really his job scope for the muslims.

Yes, it does matter if Muhammad proclaim himself as a prophet. As history already shown, many false prophets have also came forth and proclaim themselves as prophets as well.
And what is a true prophet? What is the characteristics of a true prophet? That is the most important question here. |

History in the past 1,500 years are full of such people and it is not even focused in Middle East areas alone. Tai'ping Rebellion (in 1800s) China was conducted by a religious leader who claimed to be send by the Heaven so save China and then upgraded himself to be younger brother of Jesus. Sikhism was created by Guru Nanak in response to Islam in India. It took many of the alien belief system of Islam (alien to India at that time). And even in Malaysia, we have Ayahpin and his teapot movement.
We can go on and on and on about cults. But they all have similar characteristics :-
1. A leader which have highest level of status (which other members cannot achieve).
2. Leader have total rights on deciding how social behavior should be in his cult.
3. Leader have total rights on deciding how law and order should be followed in his cult.
4. Demonizing the mainstream society as an evil and corrupted society which must be destroyed and rebuild.
5. Separation of the members from mainstream society - by brainwashing, information control or even threats.
6. Generate income/wealth by ANY means possible - including prostitution (or in Muhammad's case, warfare) to support its group.
These are the characteristic of a Cult and you can find each and every one of these criterias exists within Islam.
Some could ask - what about Hinduism and Buddhism? How are they not cults as well? In Hinduism, the goal of the belief is Moksha or unification of Individual Soul with the Divine. No matter how high a sage is, he is still a human and prone to make mistakes. Matter a fact, a sage will be wise to remember this and act carefully. And in Buddhism, Buddha used himself as a role model for others to follow which means there have been and will be other Buddhas after him. He did not go around saying his words were absolute and his followers must follow it without question (something Muhammad did).
Therefore Islam is a Cult and Muhammad was a cult leader.

Evidence .... yilek. Who is Krishna? A figurine crafted by people and the same people bow and worship their creation. This is another case of people fooling themselves into worshiping their own creation. It would a lot more logical if you crafted Krishna to bow down and worship you as you are the entity who carve out Krishna.
