Cheng Chen trying to find a model to wear the suit after his taller cousin also fails to step into the superhero's shoes
An electronic engineer from eastern China has built a replica suit modelled on the Hollywood Iron Man superhero films, but has found he is too fat and short to wear it.
Cheng Chen is now looking for a model to wear his suit for him, the news website Qq.com reported.
Cheng, 27, who comes from Jiangsu province, is a fan of the movies and built his suit out of plastic rather than metal as it would be light enough to move around in.
He based the design on photographs on the internet and also got suggestions from other Iron Man fans in China.
But when he tried to get the costume on he found he did not have a superhero’s physique as he was too short and rotund.
His cousin, who is 1.8 metres tall, also tried to get into the costume, but failed, the report said.
TheIron Man films starring Robert Downey Jnr are based on a Marvel Comics strip about an industrialist who builds a powered exoskeleton to become a superhero.
