To be a Young Scientist , I need your support.

Being a YOUNG SCIENTIST is my DREAM.. I Need Your Support..
To start my journey as a young scientist, I am currently involved in a research entitled Ionoregulation of Tilapia under Ion Poor Environment. To fulfil the university’s requirement to graduate, I would need to attend an Industrial Training session for work exposure in a professional environment. However, to achieve my dream as a young scientist I choose the path to become a researcher in the field of Fish Physiology whereby, my application to Institute of Marine Biology, National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan was accepted and I need to register on the 29th of June 2015. By 26th of June 2015, I will be flying to Taiwan from Kuala Lumpur.
The reason I chose Taiwan for my industrial training was due to the advancements achieved in the field of fish physiology. Compared to Europe and Japan, the living cost in Taiwan is more affordable.
Given that my parents’ monthly income is around RM250, which is my father’s retirement money, and my mother is a full time house wife, financial efforts to support my daily expenses in Taiwan would be a huge burden on my father.
The transportation and accommodation for my training have been arranged and paid for by the University. However, I still need help to cover my daily expenses, especially to obtain halal food there. According to the surveys made by the lecturers who have been to the National Dong Hwa University, the Halal Food can be obtained for RM35-40 per day. Hence, for 90 days of my training I would approximately need RM 3150-3600.
My personal strength is that I have been described as a highly motivated person. I am also willing to learn and accept any consequences of my action. I am a fast-learner and I can work independently as well as work in a team, willing to move and can start from any level of position.
As a Diploma holder at UMT previously I have been fortunate enough to participate in the International Student Exchange Program at University Air Langga, Surabaya, Indonesia. I have also held a portfolio as the Secretary of Sports and Recreational in the Student Council Committee. Besides that, some of the activities that I have joined in the University were Canoe Association of Terengganu, Extreme Activity Club, Crew of Student Leaders Award Night and many more.
I really hope that SkolaFund would be able to help support me to achieve my dream. With your help, I would be encouraged to work hard for success and help support those like me in the future. Lastly, I end this with my favourite quote: “Miracle is another name of hard effort”.
