Fearing non-Muslims, Raja Dewa residents says no to condo project

KOTA BARU, May 29, 2015:
Raja Dewa Residents Association members today protested against the construction plan of a 24-storey condominium on the Tengku Anis Kindergarten site here today.
The protest involved about 50 of the locals along with Telipot mosque “kariah” (congregation) after Friday prayers for about an hour.
One of the participants, Yasmin Yusof, 58, said the construction of the condominium would disturb the people praying at the nearby mosque and also expressed his concern should the condominium units be owned by non-Muslims.
He said according to the current price, the condominium units would be sold for at least RM600,000 each and this would create uneasiness among the residents at Raja Dewa.
“Most of the Muslims cannot afford to buy the condominium units and we’re worried that there might be problems if most of the buyers are non-Muslims.
“Why are they building this condominium when the mosque has neither been repaired nor expanded or even provided more space for the worshipers to park their cars?” he told The Rakyat Post.
Yasmin added that the residents’ lives would also be affected since there would be no open space for their children to play at.
“We are also suspicious of the Kota Baru City Council over how it could approve the condominium plan submitted by the Kelantan Islam Foundation since it affects part of the mosque’s space.”
According to her, she had sent a letter to Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob as well as several other individuals and departments.
However, she said, not one person had stepped forward to give any explanation.
“Therefore, we ask for all Kelantanese to support this protest,” he added.

Lebih pada insecurity dan inferiority complex.. isu zaman berzaman ummah meleis...
Bersaing taknak.. bila org lain nak membangun menentang pula..

Ntah la sis...mungkin demo demo berdemo demi se bungkus nasi berlauk ike ayo nga sebungkus tey beng kurang manis..
yg penting tadika raja dewa kalo bleh jgn diusik...dah ramai lahirkan tokoh tokoh terbilang tadika tu...huhuhuhu... |

demo ni aku melihat lebih kepada ketidaksesuaian lokasi dan juga kenapa diberi senang2 kepada kontraktor tuk tanah yg strategik ni
dulu tak silap kuarters kerajaan
bab tak suka sebaqb non muslim tu memang la aku tak sokong |

terutama spesis gampunk yg jerit sana sini
terutama spesis pulau & bukit
