Actor Lee Sang-Yoon is cast in upcoming tvN drama series SECOND TIME TWENTY YEARS OLD (literal title) which cast actress Choi Ji-Woo in the lead female role.
In drama series SECOND TIME TWENTY YEARS OLD, Lee Sang-Yoon will play Cha Hyun-Seok. He graduated from the same high school as Ha No-Ra (Choi Ji-Woo) and she is also his first love. Now, he works as a promising director and theater professor. Meanwhile, Ha No-Ra decides to go back to college at the age of 38.
SECOND TIME TWENTY YEARS OLD first airs this August in South Korea.

Lee Sang-yoon courted for tvN rom-com Twenty Again

Oh, cute. I like the idea of a Choi Ji-woo–Lee Sang-yoon drama pairing. I mean, it’ll always be second in my heart to a Choi Ji-woo-Lee Seo-jin pairing, but they can make it up to us by dating in real life, right? Now that the new tvN romantic comedy Twenty Again has locked down Choi Ji-woo (Temptation) to headline, the offer is out to Lee Sang-yoon (Liar Game) to play her leading man.
It’s a bit of a question mark what exactly their drama relationship entails though, because he’s called her love interest but there are differing press releases about the story particulars. The series is a coming-of-age romantic comedy about a 38-year-old woman who decides to change the course of her life by going back to college, and through her comical experience of mixing it up with 20-year-olds, she relives a part of her youth that she skipped over when she became a mother at 19.
Earlier stories describe the heroine as a wife and mother, with a professor husband and a 19-year-old son who’ll be entering college at the same time, which should be hilarious. Well, embarrassing for the son but funny for us. I just don’t know what her marital status is or will remain, and I’m just hoping that it’s not an adultery drama, because that doesn’t exactly sound like a happy premise.
Lee Sang-yoon is being courted to play an adjunct professor in the theater-film department. Too bad, he makes one crazy hot criminal psychology professor. Just sayin’. The character is high school classmates with the heroine, and he’s a carefree single guy who’s spontaneous and prickly, but he leads a very passionate life. It seems like the obvious setup for them to become romantically entangled, so I’ll just wait for the drama to explain away the husband in some manner that makes sense, so that Lee Sang-yoon can get the girl. ‘Cause he’d better get the girl.
Writer So Hyun-kyung of 49 Days and Two Weeks and PD Kim Hyung-shik of Suspicious Housekeeper and Sign are at the helm. Twenty Again follows Oh My Ghostess on Fridays and Saturdays in late August.
