Lotus birth (or umbilical nonseverance) is the practice of leaving the umbilical cord uncut after childbirth so that the baby is left attached to the placenta until the cord naturally separates at the umbilicus, usually a few days after birth.

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has stated, "If left for a period of time after the birth, there is a risk of infection in the placenta which can consequently spread to the baby. The placenta is particularly prone to infection as it contains blood. At the post-delivery stage, it has no circulation and is essentially dead tissue," and the RCOG strongly recommends that any baby that undergoes lotus birthing be monitored closely for infection.

“According to the Lontar, the sacred books of Bali Hindu Dharma, written in Sanskrit, the placenta must be strictly guarded. Bukan sebab budu atau ikan kering atau human rights. It celebrates the non violence in lord vishnu's birth. Seeloknya bawak kavadi sekali lah.

ada satu stray cat ni beranak blkng rmh iols.. lps beranak dia mmg xdpt nk jilat ank dia sbb hidung bengkak (dia ada nose tumor bw g vet lps bpe buln beranak) cm semput gak..dia trus nyusu ank dia..esoknya kt blkng yg blh beranak tu bau bangkai.. mak kucing tu xblh nk bersihkn uri ank dia dgn btl..iols trpaksa salin paper br.. bila dh salin still bau lagi..last2 buang kotak trus.. bg kotak baru bau bangkai pn hilng.. bau uri kucing yg x dibersihkn segera pn bau bangkai..inikan bau uri manusia

iols admit suka budu dn seangkatannya tp xde bau bangkai
