Bizarre behaviour delays flight

         PETALING JAYA: A man who arbitrarily switched his seat twice and even went through someone else’s luggage led to a flight to Sandakan being delayed for about two hours.

“I saw a man seated at 4C, then he moved to 2D when the actual passenger of 4C showed up,” said Sabah MCA secretary Datuk Chew Kok Woh, who was seated at 4D.

“Then he moved to 3C and the same thing happened again when the rightful passenger of the seat arrived,” Chew said.

He claimed that the man then went through someone else’s luggage.

  


“Later, he walked to the front of the aircraft, telling a stewardess that he had lost his wallet,” said Chew.

Chew, who related the incident to The Star, said he was one of the passengers on board the AirAsia Flight AK5194 from KLIA2 to Sandakan.

“The other passengers and I began to feel suspicious and reported him to an air stewardess,” he said.

Subsequently, Chew said an announcement telling everyone to disembark from the plane came on.

“It was then that I saw the real owner coming to retrieve the luggage,” he added.

The nearby passengers asked him to check the contents of his bag to make sure nothing was missing, he added.

Chew said the passengers were puzzled over the identity of the man, who was nowhere to be seen later.


“We were supposed to fly home at noon but we had to go through security checks two times before we resumed our flight at 2.15pm,” he said.

Chew posted on his Facebook, congratulating the police and AirAsia for the second tighter security check.

masa ai balik obersea aritu pun.. dah touchdown klia semua orang takleh disembark airplane.. sebab ada orang kehilangan barang katanyer.. kena tunggu sampai security datang and check.. pastu ada 2 orang chinese men yang disaspek kena angkut keluar n luggage diorang kena geledah.. nasib baik la ai tak disyaki.. sebab ai pindah tido kat row tengah2 masa dalam perjalanan..

hand luggage dalam plane ilang ye.. i suspect masa semua org tido.. pencuri ini buat kerja.. bahaya la.. kena letak lock

Kalau bwk harang berharga jangan le letak dalam bag cabin.  Pencuri berada dimana2 ada yg buat2 bukak compartment atas tu pada hal ada niat nak mencuri.  Nasib makin ramai dah alert bab ni.

Kalau bwk harang berharga jangan le letak dalam bag cabin.  Pencuri berada dimana2 ada yg buat2 buka ...

Masalahnya barang berharga tak boleh check in ...mmg kena hand carry..

Dasyat pencuri zaman skrg sampai sanggup naik flight as passengger and mencuri..

taktahu la apa yang hilang .. cabin crew cuma buat announcement ada orang hilang barang jek.. pastu ramai2 kena tahan tak bagi keluar plane sampai ada apek local marah2

Memang betul sebab tu Art dah saran kan juga kat post atas tadi jgn letakan dlm hand carry cabin bag tu.  Lebih selamat letak je dlm jacket atau pocket sendiri dari tinggalkan dalam cabin bag yang diletakkan dlm compartment atas kepala tu.  Compartment kat atas tu sesiapa pun boleh bukak tutup.  Lebih selamat kalau letak barang kita kat compartment yang bertentang dari tempat duduk kita.  Sekurang2nya jadi kalau ada orang bukak kita boleh nampak apa yang dia buat.
