If you’re keeping up with Fazura, just know that the actress will be making her foray into Hollywood next year. At a press screening for her upcoming film Langit Cinta recently, the 32-year-old star shared the good news. “I can’t go into too much detail yet. All I can say is that I’m not playing a lead role. If all goes according to plan, I’ll start filming in January,” she said. Fazura reportedly auditioned for the role of a doctor in a Hollywood production back in October. The actress, who looked radiant in a Rizman Ruzaini traditional wear, also explained that she will be starring in upcoming Indonesian film Bulan Terbelah Di Langit Amerika. Based on a novel, the film, which also stars Acha Septriasa, will go into production early next year. “So yeah, in 2016 I’ll be busy, busy, busy with film projects.” Then there’s the Osman Ali-directed Langit Cinta which opens on Jan 7 where Fazura plays a kampung girl who falls in love with Keith Foo’s character. “When Osman called to offer the role, I said ‘yes’ right away!” It has been quite an eventful year for Fazura indeed. Just to recap, she won the coveted Best Actress award for her role in Manisnya Cinta Di Cappadocia at the Malaysia Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur. Season Two of her highly-rated reality TV show Facing Up To Fazura premiered in November. She also released a single called Sayangi Dirimu and showcased her label’s House Of Doll collection at the KL Fashion Week. “Yeah, it has been a really good year. Even when bad things happen, I choose to look at it positively. I take it as God’s way of telling me how to prepare myself in this industry. For 2016, I hope to be prepared to stay strong.”
