Planter runs amok after finding lover having an affair
KLUANG: A planter ran amok after finding out that his girlfriend was having an affair with another man.
The man, believed to be intoxicated, had driven to his 35-year-old girlfriend’s house at Taman Saujana Kluang here at around 5.50am yesterday.
It is learnt that the man had shouted his girlfriend’s name several times but his calls were ignored.
He became very angry and damaged her iron grille and glass doors.
The 44-year-old man then crashed his car into the front gate of his girlfriend’s house before leaving the scene.
Some half an hour later, the suspect returned and tried to damage a nearby house before the police arrived and detained him.
Kluang deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Ahmad Zamry Marinsah, who confirmed the case, said that the suspect sustained several injuries to his body and arm believed to be caused by breaking the glass door.
The police found a meter long iron rod used by the suspect to cause damage to the victim’s house and the other house as well.
“He was drunk when we arrested him. Initial investigations showed that he was having some personal problem with his girlfriend,” he said.
DSP Ahmad Zamry said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code and Section 506 of the same Act.
The suspect was detained to assist with the investigations.
