Korang nye pengalaman pahit manis,
korang nye apa2 la suka tak suka ngan doktor ke, Nurse ke, korang bingit sakit tak bleh pakai medisave ke,
Korang suka gi Botox ke, seram tengok jarum ke, ubat demam ke ubat batok dah naik harga ke,
suka kena injection ke, pasang gigi palsu ke, gigi emas ke..., tu hari sapa2 buat plastic surgery kat hidung ke....

Semua bleh rembat sini k.

1. polyclinic sekarang tak lagi perlu tekan button utk register jumpa doktor, tapi dah canggih touch screen pc kat entrance poly... cheewah, utk jumpa doctor, utk yg buat appt, utk buat lab test dan lenlain.. ekekeke

tapi ampas.. tetap slow service dia..

Apa2 pun layan gambo orang Q kat poliklinik dulu...
Memang leceh la poliklinik, tapi murah.... pegi private clinic harga mahal
dah tu kalo rekod sakit semua kat poliklinik, kalo refer gavermen hospital, subsidized dia lagi best.. ( speaking from personal experience hehehe )

pagi2 buta kat Geylang Polyclinic...  Aku pernah gi sini, ambik number, aku lagi bleh pegi hawker center kat belakang tu, aku lagi bleh makan mee siam kat kedai kopi belakang hawker center tu, makan2...pelan2 datang balik, siap beli sokkabar...number aku belum sampai.

So, what was the situation like at Geylang Polyclinic after the STOMP story on Thursday?

STOMP went down to investigate again on Friday 17 November and saw that the number of seats placed outside was still the same. All eight seats were fully taken.

An elderly man was seen sprawled on the ground next to the door. When STOMP asked him why he did so, he told us that there weren抰 enough seats. Thankfully, the other patients saw what happened and a tussle began at the seating area, as different patients got up to offer theirs.

Once again, a variety of objects were seen placed in the informal reservation system. The line was orderly and quiet. When STOMP did a count just before the gates opened at 7:30 am, the people in the queue numbered 52.

The earliest patient to arrive at the clinic was Wong Fung Ngai, 53, who arrived at the clinic at 6 am. She managed to see the doctor at 8:15am, and left the clinic at 8:30 am after collecting her medicine.

Other patients who arrived later in the morning, such as hotel attendant Jason Bin Toyong, who arrived at 8:15 am and left at 10:20 am, took a longer time to see the doctor and get their medicine.

Also, a team of photographers and reporters from the Straits Times NewsDesk went around the island to do their investigations at Sengkang Polyclinic, Toa Payoh Polyclinic, Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic and Tampines Polyclinic.

On average, there were 50 people in the queues outside these polyclinics waiting for the doors to open

tapi yang best.......kalo tepon mintak tukar appointment, tak pernah kena marah....
staff yang jawab tu mesti lembut, courteous jek...
tapi siap la, nak mintak date baru, semua dia main cakap " sorry, is full already "

buat ujian pon amik number kat entrance.. cheewah touch screen ekekeke
pastu jumpa doctor lagi.. gulp!!! doctor suh dtg lagik next week.. dibekalkan aku
ubat (aku tak suka ubat cecair masuk dlm mulut... geli geleman.. especially ubat batuk)

next weeknyer dtg lagik.. tunggu number 2214

Background:

16 November - Following a tip-off by STOMP contributor Roger Sim, we went down to Geylang Polyclinic, where we witnessed firsthand early morning queues which were formed as early as 5am as patients patiently got in line to get queue numbers for registration.

Many patients interviewed reflected a need for more seats to be placed outside of the polyclinic.

The Straits Times then ran a report after carrying out an investigation to see of this was something polyclinics all over the island faced, and on average, 50 to 60 patients were seen queuing outside various clinics.

Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan conducted an inquiry into the matter, and issued statements to the CEOs of the SingHealth and Tan Tock Seng Hospital clusters to provide more seats, and to look for alternative solutions to the problem.

Exactly one week later, on 23 November, STOMP decided to go down to see for ourselves the changes that have been made.

More seats have been placed outside Geylang Polyclinic. Also, the main door of the polyclinic opened at 7 am, a good half hour before the previous situation. The first patient was seen by the doctor at 7:45 am, and she left the clinic at 8:15 am.

All in, things seem to be more comfortable for the many elderly patients frequenting the polyclinic.

Hilang as in Gone With The Wind??   kot masa dorang kepit tu file sana sini naik turun tangga jatuh kot


tapi poliklinik ok la, kalo spital skarang smua dah masuk komputer....   doktor cek kan, terus dia type masuk pc, tak tuk tak tuk dia ketuk keybod. Aku ingat doktor type laju, ala...slow jugak...pakai jari satu satu.lol

STOMPer Low Choon Tong was up early at 4am on Sunday (26 November), to join this queue outside Yin Chuan Chan Siew Kee Chinese Medical Hall. The people in line were waiting for Madam Chan, a Chinese physician who was supposedly renowned for her excellent medical skills.

According to Choon Tong, 揈very morning without fail, there will be a queue outside this medical hall.

Aku - " saya mintak maaf banyak2, patut nari saya pegi SGH tapi saya lupa maklum bulan puasa , bleh kasi date lain? "

Kalo aku yang jadi operator SGH, orang2 mintak tukar date pasal terlupa aku mesti kutuk2 nye " What? u think u king is it anyhow change??"

kalau hospital pon tak jugak lah.. aku ada rekod kat SGH tahun 2002 tau
then 2005 aku pegi lagi.. then dia bukak rekod baru.. bila aku ckp aku ada
rekod lama, dorang boleh refer date, some info jer kat pc dorang...
3jam aku kat hospital, 3 jam tu jugak lah dorang pi cari file aku physically...
yahooo.. jumpa. dorang ckplah, kalau file 4-5 tahun lepas, dorang tak simpan
dlm hospital lagik.. simpan kat tpt lain..tang kat mana aku tak tau.. kena tanyer

kira kalo kes dah lama sangat, dah tak pegi spital tu dah 5 years gitu, file pun dorang dah alih lah..?

danger jugak eh kalo sakit lama2 nak korek balik... tapi skarang aku rasa nanti semua dah isi komputer

skarang cam ko ada rekod sakit kat spital lain, ko gi spital lain punye, doktor tekan komputer , smua dah keluar...dah internet dah.

Last few mths I call National Heart Center to change my date appointment to earlier date. They say all fully book. But if you're a private patient, then they can move the appointment for you. Wah.....I said to the operator, "you mean you only got available date for private patient but not subsidised patient? Is this a discriminatiion?" Know what she said? She said that they gave priority to private patient cause they pay more. Subsided patient have to wait long long wan....

Private patient - you can get the appointment within 1 or 2 wks.
Subsided patient - how urgent your case, your appointment will be 1 mth later.

dah lama tak pergi polyclinic...the last time was hantar my son pergi injection....for myself the last time jumpa doctor for consultation during my secondary school days....

malas ah nak tunggu lama2....penah kena tunggu dekat 4 jam....dah lah sakit makin bertambah sakit :geram:
