Besides Jay Choufilming the basketball movie "Shoot the Goal", SETTV and TTV's "Fightor Must" and GTV's "Basketball of Fire" all use basketball as theirthemes, also with such big differences. Formerly, when Director Choufilmed "Shoot the Goal," he wore a wig. Yesterday, when "Fight or Must"was previewed, Hebe used a plastic ball. However, with thejust-announced "Basketball of Fire" with Jerry Yan, there are rumorsthat the drama's plot is very similar to the Japanese manga "SlamDunk", is suspected to be a pirated version, that the Japanese filmcompany opposed to.

Jerry Yan who is soon-to-be deeply plowingthe Japanese market, has announced he would join the cast of"Basketball of Fire" and rumors immediately spread that a Japanese filmcompany opposed to it. It's because he will play the role in"basketball of Fire," this Japanese company became highly interested.However, after confirming with the TV channel, the film companybelieved that the drama and the Japanese manga "Slam Dunk" had verydistinct similarities, In the past, "Slam Dunk" persisted not to sellits rights to Japanese TV channels. Yesterday, GTV'sProject Planning Department Deputy Head Cai Fei Quiao said thatfeedbacks show that "Basketball of Fire" indeed appears similar to"Slam Dunk." However, she said, " If we say it can only be similar tothe basketball games thing, 'Basketball of Fire' will focus more on thehuman nature and its narrative side." Jerry Yan's agent Matt Cheng alsosaid, "Slam Dunk and Basketball of Fire" both speak of a basketballstory. However, their bridge segments are really different."
