TRUMP TANTRUM Donald Trump’s bid to SUE Nevada officials over late voting thrown out by judge – as he hints he won’t accept US election result if he loses
The billionaire claimed the fact that the polling booths had been kept open for longer was a sign of a rigged election

DONALD TRUMP has had an attempt to SUE Nevada state officials thrown out by a judge – as his son claims the billionaire will only accept the results if they were “legit and fair”.

The Republican candidate had brought legal action against the state after polling stations were kept open for longer.

Trump himself refused to confirm whether he would accept the outcome of the pivotal election, saying “we’ll see what happens”.

As millions of Americans head to the polls to vote in one of the most divisive elections in history, the candidates have upped their campaigns in the election’s final hours.

Donald Trump, a controversial figure who has been plagued by claims of sexual harassment, has already come out swinging with his lawsuit against Nevada.

Hillary Clinton has likewise continued trying to appeal to younger demographics, urging Americans to vote for a “stronger” United States.

Donald Trump himself has continued to challenge the validity of the elections, telling Fox News: “We’re going to see how things play out.”

He added: “I want to see everything honest.”

But his attempt to slow the election results backfired, with a judge throwing out his campaign’s request to not combine the early votes with the votes of the day.

Trump campaign lawyer David Lee had also requested for the names of the people working at the Nevada booths to be preserved – with Clark County Judge Gloria Sturman hitting back at the request, UK Business Insider reported.

Judge Sturman told the court: “It’s disturbing to me to think that those individuals might be harassed.

“I am not going to expose people doing their civic duty to help their fellow citizens vote to public attention, ridicule and harassment.”

Trump supporters have even complained that they had been hit with technical glitches, with voters saying that everytime they tried to vote for Trump, a Democratic candidate would come up.

It comes as Trump’s son Eric has supported his father’s stance, saying Trump would only accept the result of the election if he felt it was “legit and fair.”

In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Eric Trump said all the family wants “is a fair fight, not just for this election but for all elections, so that everybody has a chance to actually have their voice be heard and not have it manipulated.”

His comments come as the Trump campaign launched a lawsuit against Nevada relates to polling stations in Nevada being left open hours after they were scheduled to close.

But Eric Trump has since come under fire for sharing a photograph of his ballot paper.

The change to the polls’ opening hours is believed to be in large part due to the huge turnout in Nevada for the public to cast their vote early, meaning that queues lasted for hours.

Trump has claimed that keeping the polls open for three hours longer was a sign of a rigged election with the LA Times reporting that there had been a surge in votes from Latinos in the state of Nevada.

The Trump campaign has sued the Clark County election officials, with Trump claiming the ballots should be set aside pending the legal challenge.

LA-area polling station on lockdown after shots nearby; at least two victims
By AnneClaire Stapleton, CNN
Updated 2322 GMT (0722 HKT) November 8, 2016

(CNN)A polling location in Azusa, California, is currently on lockdown after a shooting happened nearby, and at least two people were wounded, authorities said.

Two voters who were inside the Memorial Park North Recreation Center when the shooting occurred spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity.
Azusa is located roughly 30 miles outside Los Angeles.

One male voter says he was inside when he heard a bunch of shots ring out and people from outside starting to run in before officials locked the doors. He told CNN a "massive shooting is happening and the police have told us to stay indoors. We are currently on locked down."
A female voter told CNN she heard the shots ring out.

"At first, I thought it was construction but people came running into the room saying they see a guy with a bulletproof vest and a white shirt. As of right now, they just have us in the voting room and are trying to keep us calm."

The female voter said officials are not allowing anyone to leave the building but people are still allowed to vote while they wait. She said officials are not announcing updates inside in order to not scare the kids.

Pictures sent to CNN from inside the polling station show many people inside, including a group of children who were in the building when the shots rang out.

The female voter said she estimates about 30 people remain inside the locked down polling location. Additionally, about 15-20 children were evacuated from a gym inside the recreation center where the voting station was located.

The shots were not inside the polling station.

The LA County Sheriff's Department is assisting the Azusa Police Department with the officer-involved shooting, Sgt. Vincent Plair told CNN.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department helicopter has transported at least two shooting victims to a nearby hospital.

CNN's Paul Vercammen and Cheri Mossburg contributed to this report.
