saya minat juga literature books - mostly by william shakespeare
few of my favourites are hamlet macbeth julius caesar romeo and juliet
king henry V and few others -
most of those books we have to study in our english literature subjects
in college - interesting though bila kena kaji dalam dalam sesuatu situasi itu |

Saya ada The Complete works of Shakespeare...Bahasanya
adalah Old English...jadi agak sukar untuk memahami jika tidak
belajar teksnya secara dalam kuliah...
antara yang saya minat play A Midsummer Night Dream, Twelfh Night dan
Merchant Of Venice...nanti sambung lagi... |

saya dah baca banyak buku2 dia -
as well tragedy as well
such as romeo and juliet julius caesar
macbeth hamlet -
as well some comedy such as the merry wives of windsor -
he was such a great writer - full of ideas..
the first book of shakespeare i read was merchant of venice
i was in standard three at that time --
i loved it then, and i love it now -- |

Macbeth tu memang endingnye menarik kan...
saya dulu belajar Measure for Measure...kisah masyarakat...
rasanya ada sedikit persamaan antara Shakespeare dan P. Ramlee,
karya mereka menceritakan kisah masyarakat merentas masa dan
sempadan... |

i managed to read simplified shakespeare only  牋 牋
my favourites are
twelfth night, orthello, much ado about nothing, hamlet, all's well that ends well, a midsummer night's dreams & the taming of the shrew. |

sama lah ngan twin. twin baca yg simplify version. dlm channel TVIQ dulu ada gak dia org lakonkan dr karya shakespeare. yg twin pernah nengok kat situ "winter's tale"
romeo and juliet a bit overated as tragedy sebab balik2 org sebut yg tu jer. twin suka midsummer night's dream. cerita yg lain ada yg dah baca cuma tak ingat cam othello, macbeth dgn merchant of venice. |

come to think of it -- i agree with you wholeheartedly --
been reading shakespeare since my college days -
and i thoroughly enjoyed it ---
in fact i still re read some plays and get my students
to do julius caesar drama at college it was a huge success! --
am glad some forum members enjoy him --
he was such a gifted person ---
* i love some of his comedies too --- such as 'as you like it '.. |

Shakespeare.
Menarik kan? sbb apa maksud sebenarnyer bila kita kata, kita suka karya Shakespeare, tapi, kita hanya baca versi yang telah dipermudah?
Bukan apa, sbb rae begitu juga.
Cuma satu sahaja buku Shakespeare yang rae pernah baca, pernah habiskan, dan sangat suka ditulis dalam bahasa yang Shakespeare tulis, tanpa modifikasi - Othello. Play/Drama yang sangat menarik, walaupun agar sukar untuk difahami kerana ditulis dalam bahasa lama Inggeris.
Yang lain tu, semuanya yang dipermudahkan.  |

yup.. blaja citer shakespeare sbb ambik coz tu kay U.. tp setelah wat kajian menarik gak.. ade makne tersirat.. contohnya mcm citer the tempest tu.. pasal isu politik dan penghambaan.. yg poetry nyer misteri sungguh, ade tu kite tak pasti sonet tu dier tulis utk lady in black atau mamat misteri mana tah... |

rasanya buat hiasan jer kot...
sbb bila nak baca...cari yg simplified...
pernah tgok play ...by shakespeare co. kat istana budaya dulu...teruja sgt... Merchant of Venice...

kat mana boleh cari buku shakespeare ni ye?
masa sekolah rendah dulu saya banyak baca, old books from the 60s, my cousins punya. most unabridged. yang macam short stories ada, yang macam play ada.
tapi now saya cuba cari kat kedai2 buku, tak jumpa. mostly macam plays and kurang berminat lah pulak.
anyone can help? |
