IT Support Technician (Pulau Pinang)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computers (PCs), networks and related systems.
- Performs all installations, configurations, upgrades and backups of software (i.e., Microsoft Office, Windows NT, Windows xx) and hardware applications at end user locations. Troubleshoots a broad range of software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to PCs.
- May assist Network Administrator with troubleshooting of networks.
- Escalate problems/requests clearly to 2nd level support/development team or service providers
- Provide 24/7 support on rotational basis
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced higher/Graduate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer-Hardware or equivalent.
- Must be adept at handling multiple assignments and be able to operate in a diverse cross-functional team.
- Solid experience required with Software Deployment Tools, and Desktop troubleshooting Tools.
- Must be a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or other technical certification is an advantage.
