Daytona Beach Dream Cruise Truck Thursday: The Elkies Edition
So this olelongrooffan has waxed on about the car events down here in the World Center of Racing and this Truck Thursday I thought I might post up some of the Elkies I spotted down at Bellaire Plaza in town for the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise this past weekend. A whiles back Jen Dunnaway, of fighting with Tony Stewart at SEMA fame, did a post over at Car Domain about shooting images of vehicles and one of the things she stressed was to get the entire vehicle in the image, something this olelongrooffan always tries to do. I’ll be on AutomotiveImagingFailBlog soon I am afraid if there is such a place. In the meantime, my fellow Hoons can make the jump to see a few more images of some of the Elkies I spotted this past weekend.
Oh and that Focus in the background of this image? My fellow Hoons will see it again.
This last gen, thus far…c’mon GM bring us a Holden Ute sometime soon will ya?… is probably the most affordable one and I still remember the Elkie of this gen I spotted sporting 57 Chevy sides a whiles back at the Art of Auto Show over on Beach Street.
Please, my fellow Hoons, I beg of you not to inform Jen of the error of my ways thrice within just a few minutes. I mean she argues with Tony Stewart. If I did that this olelongrooffan’s ass would be kicked to the curb in no time.
Having said that, this original El Camino proudly displaying rust around the rear wheel wells and rear lower quarters is still a Super Sport version and the $5K asking price doesn’t seem all that out of line.
But that vinyl wood out back needs to be retained just for authenticity.
