sud I explain this to you ka....
when an airplane stay foot in the hangar, maknanya ada masalah besar la , tak boleh terbang.... bukan saja saja nak simpan..

weight limitation tu memang semua planes ada, tapi yang ini below the certification...
I give u an example, kalau plane ni certified to take off with maximum all up weight 50T misalnya, maknanya if an engine fail during the take off, the plane still can fly safely off the ground with the other running engine...

tapi CN235 yg TUDM guna ni 30T pun dah tak selamat...

ps.. the weight fig I used sebagai contoh sahaja...

Airbus Military and PT Dirgantara Indonesia sign strategic collaboration agreement                                         Madrid,                                 06 July 2011                                    Airbus Military has concluded a strategic collaboration agreement with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) under which it will assist with the revitalisation of the Indonesian national aerospace industry.
The agreement was signed in Jakarta on 6th July, in the presence of the Minister of State Owned Enterprises of Indonesia, Mr. Mustafa Abubakar, by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) President Director Budi Santoso, PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset (Persero) President Director Boyke W, Mukijat, and Airbus Military CEO Domingo Ureña Raso. This agreement confirms the memorandum of understanding of February 2011. In the first phase of the programme, lasting some 18 months, Airbus Military will support PTDI in optimising its overall industrial processes and global efficiency.
The agreement builds on the longstanding manufacturing relationship between Airbus Military and its Spanish predecessor CASA, and PTDI and its Indonesian predecessors going back to Nurtanio. PTDI is currently also an important supplier to Airbus Military on the C212 and CN235 light/medium transport and surveillance aircraft, as well as to Eurocopter and Airbus.
In subsequent years Airbus Military intends to grow the quantity of manufacturing it places with PTDI, and to provide industrial activity of increasingly higher value in the supply chain.
Minister Mustafa Abubakar said: “Three decades ago CASA joined with Nurtanio to launch a new aircraft – the CN235 – which has succeeded in becoming the market leader in its category worldwide. This agreement with Airbus Military will enable us to undertake structural reforms to help turn-around and grow the aerospace sector. The possibility of new developments and the subsequent opening of new markets, together with our partners in Airbus Military, will allow us to create a generation of highly trained engineers, managers and workers, who will not only serve the aerospace industry, but will revolutionize other sectors of the economy of our country.”
Airbus Military CEO Domingo Ureña Raso said: “The aerospace relationship of Spain and Airbus Military with Indonesia and its national industry has been long and fruitful, and bears excellent prospects for the future. But today’s increasingly competitive global aerospace industry demands constant reinvention and rejuvenation by every player. We are completely committed to supporting our Indonesian partners in ensuring that they maintain their role on the world stage.”
About Airbus Military
Airbus Military is the only military and civic/humanitarian transport aircraft manufacturer to develop, produce, sell and support a comprehensive family of airlifters ranging from three to 45 tonnes of payload. An Airbus daughter company, Airbus Military is responsible for the A400M programme, as well as the Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) A330 and for further military derivatives based on Airbus civil aircraft. Together with the smaller “Light & Medium” C295, CN235 and C212, Airbus Military is the global leader in the market for military transport, tanker and surveillance aircraft able to perform the most varied missions. Altogether, Airbus Military has sold more than 1,000 aircraft to some 130 military, civilian and governmental customers. More than 800 of these aircraft have been delivered. Airbus is an EADS company.

Malaysia to build A380 wing components..

MMALACCA-BASED Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTRM) has reached a major milestone with the signing of a RM800mil contract with Airbus to design and manufacture wing components for its A380 model, scheduled to come into use by 2006.

“With this contract, we hope to secure more contracts from Airbus,’ CTRM chief executive officer Abdul Malek Packeer told a press conference yesterday.

The contract between CTRM, represented by Malek, and Airbus, represented by its executive vice-president (procurement) Ray Wilson, was signed at the CTRM composites facility in Malacca. The event was witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam and CTRM chairman Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Zaharudin Idrus.

CRTM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Minister of Finance Inc, is Airbus’ first partner in South-East Asia to design and manufacture fixed, leading-edge lower panels for the A380, the largest super jumbo commercial twin-deck aircraft with 555 seats.

The contract is for the entire life of the Airbus A380 production. Airbus has secured a total of 97 orders for the model so far, and Singapore Airlines and the United Emirates will be the first carriers to use the A380.

“We are delighted that CRTM can provide Airbus with a full design and build service through the design facility in Cyberjaya and composites manufacturing facility in Malacca,’’ said Wilson.
