User Review - I am particularly amazed on the biographies of the Merican family which has undoubted left a significant impact on the history of Kelantan. I am amazed especially reading Allahyarham Dato' Dr. Hj Ezanee Merican (Al-Fatihah) who has been known to my family, my siblings and to myself particularly. (practically everyone knows him - my uncles, aunts, cousins...)
I recalled when I was about 6-7 years old, my mum brought me to the clinic (Merican Dispensary). I was scared of him because of the needles. And he told me this "Zafri, the doctor is home, I am not the doctor" (the trick always works - even on my son :-) ) and I was confused - while I was offguard - suddenly felt the pricky jab. "See that wasn't bad at all" - and he gave me an orange. He has always been nice to everyone.
