IMHO, those who subscribe to que sera sera and those who're against  que sera sera (in despair) are the same. They are both operating from weakness.

if we just take the word que sera sera for it's face value - the interpretation of it is whatever will be will be, a sort of resignation towards what is unknown to us

I don't see it as seeing something in desperation rather then, there are only some things in life that we've control of...but can we changed what is pre destined for us from the word go? when we don't even know what lies ahead of us, we worried to much as it is in this day and age, just let the river flow, and we'll wait by the stream

i think the key is the feeling of okayness... if thisi is a word...

so, you have this feeling of okayness whether you get that thing or not.

So, no resignation at all... if you don't get it.
