to me indonesia has taken one step further bile nationalism mereka diinterpret dlm meletak nama anak baru lahir.
i think starting from 1970s or 1980s, bayi yg dilahirkan (tidak kira keturunan) dinamakan dlm bahasa indonesia so chinese indon takleh pakai nama chinese.
i think this is one way of making bangsa Indonesia. good for preserving one's culture and characteristic...
Indonesia juga beri kebebasan beragama dlm constitution dia n they walk the talk...
hmm..malaysia? negara islam tapi non-secular? hmm......i think malaysia ialah negara secular. |

Everybody is a racist at heart?
Judging from the constant embroiled in our country I'll just would like to know more of fellow forumers ideas ora your thought in regards to this issue. Today topic that made me want to know more of and share is all about RACISM. Racism has been a feature of humanity since the dawn of history. A Jew is regarded as manipulative. A Chinese is greedy. A white man is a redneck. A black man is dishonest. A Malay is a lazy bum yada yada.
We unconsciously fear what we do not understand. Our fear gives birth to prejudice. Prejudice gives birth to stereotype. And we are all guilty of stereotyping. Each time we disapprove of our offspring dating someone of another race. Each time we crack a joke about a Malay colleague taking excessive sick leave. Each time we use the term 慸iaper head |
