Malaysia adopted a compact artillery radar system to determine whose muzzle velocity (MVR) EDH ED-2605C. The system will be used for 155-mm howitzers trailing Mk 3 G5 production company Denel (South Africa)
28 howitzer was complete with MVR Weibel, but now converted to an active system EDH.
Meanwhile, the fleet of 155-mm self-propelled howitzers Denel G6 South African National Defence Force has already equipped MVR ED-2605C (instead Avitronics MVR). Re is part of the modernization programme artillery fire control system project Klooster. The same device selected for modernization G5 howitzers South African National Defence Force.
For technical conditions laid down by the South African National Defence, MVR ED-2605C should have the same interface, the location and designation as MVR Avitronics, and use the artillery system for detecting and hit a target AS2000/4000 ADS. When the cost of the device around 30,000 dollars semi Doppler radar system has dimensions of 315 mm and 160 fathoms 4 kg weight. It uses a fixed frequency of X (I) - band that can be measured calibre projectiles from 4 mm to 200 mm with speed exceeding 30-3000 m / s and errors less than 0.03%. MVR ED-2605C-gain antenna is 23 dB with our example, a beam of 10 |

Is this a fire-finder radar or something to determine the trajectory of own side's artillery shots? |
