ade tak sesiape yg blh tlg recommend tafsir al-quran in english yg blh sy beli (online or otherwise)? firstly, sy pernah cube bc tafsir yg dlm bm tp ssh nk faham, coz bahasa dier more kpd indonesian. then, a few days ago, bace mak punye kumpulan hadith kwn dier kasi. bende tu dlm english, and it's beautiful.

sy search kt amazon and dpt a few results. tp msh ragu2 dlm hati ttg accuracy translation dier. satu buku tu, ade user yg comment baik (by looking at the name sy rase islam). ni ade 2 links kpd buku2 tu. kalau boleh, mesti la nak yg sdp dibace (literary wise) tp priority nye content betul.

Ada 2 versi terjemahan bahasa inggeris yang authentic.  cetakannya ada banyak kilang cetak.  

1.  Marmaduke Pickthal
2.  Abdullah Yusuf Ali

Yang lebih populah ialah Yusuf Ali kerana terdapat komentari.  Terjemahan Pickthall terdapat beberapa terjemahan perkataan yang menjadi isu kontroversi kerana ketiadaan komentari.  Contoh di bawah ni Surah anNisaa ayat 34

Yusuf Ali:
...... As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

Pickthal:
..... As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.
