oh both of his books are superb tho I had to skip reading coz of time constraint and other things that demanded my attention. By the way, the moviw adaptation was okay for me.

Regarding prostitution in Afghan, I saw a docu some time ago where a journalist went undercover to investigate. Surprisingly there is prostitution in Afghan. The women there has no other choice but to become prostitute to survive, because they are un-skilled and most of them are illiterate. Suffice to say that these women are not equipped with education to survive in this patriarch world.  It is very heart breaking to watch the docu, but its a reality for women there.

I guess, under the Taliban rule, there is a clear role for women but when 'democracy' is in place, these people have no clue how to live. For them, the order becomes disorder. It is just another battle to survive.

I've read the kite runner but hv to put down a few times sbb air mata xhenti2 meleleh... It's very emotional. At one point, i penah suruh my friend tolong abiskan baca n tell me the ending sbb xsanggup dah nk bace. Huhu... Been looking for the movie, aritu dah beli tp xle nk bukak pulak. Dah tuka dkt kedai cd tu but then cina tu ckp that's the last copy. Mencari2 jugak tp xjumpe smpi skrg...
