Neurotam consists of Piracetam, a Gamma Aminobutiric Acid (GABA) derivative which works effectively as neuroprotector, haemmoreological supporter, and antithrombotic.

It is often used for stroke,dementia, cerebral-traumatic post, intellegency disturbance, aphasia, and vertigo treatment. With oral and injection presentation, Neurotam may be chosen based on the patient’s condition.
Composition

Each capsule contains 400 mg Piracetam

Each caplet contains Piracetam 800 mg or 1200 mg

Each ml syrup contains Piracetam 100 mg

Each ml ampoule or infusion contains Piracetam 200 mg
Indication
Therapy of cerebral infarction
Therapy of post-traumatic syndrome (post concussion, brain surgery, and vertigo)
Improvement of intellectual deterioration, such as dementia, learning disturbance (aphasia, dyslexia)
Paediatric therapy : improve intellectual performance
Chronic alcoholism & addiction
Contra Indication
Hypersensitivity to piracetam and its components
Severe renal insufficiency with creatinine clearance < 20 ml/minute
Warning
Pregnancy & lactation, renal insufficiency, myoclonic patients
Adverse Reaction
Nervousness, agitation, irritability, restlessness, sleep & GI disturbances
Dosage
Oral :
Psycho-organic syndrome related to aging :
Initially 6 cap or 3 caplet daily in 2-3 divided doses for 6 weeks. Maintenance doses is 1.2 gram daily

Post-traumatic syndrome :
Initially 2 cap or 1 caplet 3 times daily until desired effects is reached, then 1 cap or 0.5 caplet daily

IM / IV Injection : 1 gram 3 times daily
