Responding to Lax's post - it's okay that the moderators to join the discussion in the board that they moderate as long as they remain NEUTRAL when applying the rules & regulations. That's the most important thing. No biasness, no favouritism, no discrimination! To BeanDiesel, keep up the good work! |

I am thinking of not moderating in the thread where I'm actively partcipating. I'd still remind anybody of any rules if necessary like any good member would, but not issuing a warning or advice as a moderator. But I'm not sure yet. We'll see. |

It's good to advice the forumners. And my piece of advice, don't argue with the forumners. Just explain, that's all. If they don't want to listen, then it's okay. You've done your part. Furthermore, don't listen too much to other people's comments. You can always join the discussion with us. |

Thank you for the advice BO. Note that when we give warning or impose penalty upon any participating forum member, we assure you it is nothing personal.

B'coz it happens to me once. I was the only forumner given THE FIRST WARNING whereas other forumners can easily escape with Allah swt. the Moon God, Islam the Dead Religion etc. No warnings were issued to them even though they kept repeating the same things. I find that very bias.
In fact, any reminders are nothing personal since mod Emmer_A does remind me thru' pm & also in the CI Board when my posts gone overboard. I don't take them personally.
Anyway, since you guys are the new moderators - I can always lodge the complaints when necessary. Thanks. |

Mr. Bean ... Could you MIND not throwing garbages from Religion section into Hindusm Column? ff:
IF you don't want a thread, DELETE them.
Thank you.
So far we haven't had to move threads yet, but should the need arise, we would first request the author to tailor his/her thread to make it more relevant to this board.
If that fails, DVP and I shall discuss on it and only upon unanimous decision we will proceed with the moving process.
We are thinking of informing the moderator of the destination board before we finalize the move.
So, that's how we plan to do it. It may change in the future when we have more experience in this matter, but we will take your concern into consideration.
About deleting thread, in RSF Rules thread Rule 1 (which is also the general rule of Cari Forum), there are only 6 kinds of posts that moderators are allowed to delete. So, techniquely, an irrelevant thread that doesn't fall into any of those 6 categories is not allowed to be deleted. I guess closing it is a safer option.
Thank you for your concern.

To save the bandwith why not delete all inactive thread, let's say if the thread is not active in 10 days then delete it.
Thank you and peace be unto you

I suggest that good threads shd be kept in the Archive for future references. In fact there used to be many good informatiive threads but deleted when the Admin did the cleaning. It was such a waste. I hope both DivinePonyTail & BeanDiesel could do something to save those threads.
On the other hand, garbage posts in such threads shd be deleted.
Thank you. |

Please read the RSF rules about which thread/post that will be deleted.
1) Multiple post
2) Pornographic post
3) Advertisement (except in Classified sections)
4) Post on any variant of get-rich-quick scheme
5) Looking for sex and closely related post
6) Post which contains copyright infringement, federal law or Cari Forum Terms of Services violation.
However we will discuss about what to do with the old/inactive thread.
Thank you. |

I think some of the threads have been saved by Darsita. Old threads like Land of Milk & Honey by Fuzzman was one of my favourites but it was deleted. |

Once we are notified by the admins about any cleanup, we will try to move good/informative thread to a "safe" location.
The author of the thread shall be informed and the thread wil be posted back to its original forum after some time.
Thank you. |

Hey DivinePonytail, I no longer see the Archive at the front page. It's gone. Can we have it back? |
